2025/26 David Moyes

Truly pitiful stuff these past six weeks. A season’s worth of squad mismanagement inevitably leads to exhausted starters with nothing behind them. So mentally weak, so tactically predictable.

The transfer window scares me. The rhetoric out of the CEO scares me. The thought of being here in 12 months with Tarkowski and Keane and Mykolenko still regular starters terrifies me.

Is this what being happily dissatisfied feels like?

I agree with the squad management in terms of the back up players being used
but I'd be seriously worried if our starters were exhausted. Compare the minutes our players have had this season to someone like Rice at Arsenal. We should still have energy to burn.

Then maybe they have down tools from the managers 1982 tactics

Nothing to do with the players. They are crap in the main. It’s fans….. what else ? Supporters are the lifeblood and soul of the club. If Mo Salah calls out a bad manager, he can stand over it as a decorated player. People take note. No Everton player is successful or celebrated in any way, and Grealish is a loanee btw, obviously. They don’t care anyway. They get well covered for their so-called labour. Why would they rock the boat and jeopardise their soft number? The fans must be the conduit to make the dissatisfaction known to the hierarchy making football decisions. The Friedkins got lucky with Gasparini in Rome this season and they have champions league football to look forward to. It can happen. Change lies within.
I think you are understimating what is happening there.
Its well known locally the players have had enough of Slot.
That only ends one way.

But as i said it will never happen while Moyes surrounds himself with his comfort blanket of his old guard players.

Whilst Keane Tarkwoski Mykolenko Gueye McNeil remain at the club we’re going nowhere.

Whilst Moyes remains at the club we’re going nowhere.

How have we managed to be taken over, the year is 2026 and the team sheet most weeks still reads:

Manager: Moyes

OBrien, Tarkwoski, Keane, Mykolenko, Gueye McNeil

Like how is that still happening.

Not even bit part players either. They've played the majority of the 2nd half of the season. Just nowhere near good enough. Not of them apart from O'Brien at CB should start the first game in August.

Don’t forget the obligatory 70th minute sub of Beto off Barry on

Bringing McNeil into the team and Keane for Branthwaite instead of moving JOB inside has probably cost us Europe.

If we’d have been bold and given George those minutes and put Garner at right back and Rohl or Armstrong in midfield we wouldn’t have shipped all the goals we have done.

Nothing bold about Everton though, we banked on players who we know are proven failures rather than take a risk with players who could be better. We always take the mistakes we know senior players will make over risking mistakes form young players. Absolute insanity.
