I'm 'younger' but would never think we're that level, not all of us are weird.
Like a modern day Coventry. They used to just exist and their claim to fame was they hadn't been relegated for decades. And then they got relegated. We could be in this exact same position this time next season and some people would still want him to stay. I’ve come to the conclusion that some of our fans just don’t view the club the same way others do, they see us as West Ham or Leicester level, should just be happy cos we've struggled in the past. Hopefully TFG disagree but that statement yesterday didn't fill me with hope
Living through the 80s sets the Everton idea of success bar higher. We could be in this exact same position this time next season and some people would still want him to stay. Matty thinks we’re West Ham level. He’s scared of what comes next because he seriously underestimates us as a club. Why do you keep saying that like you're happy about it?
Maybe fans won't deal with and won't turn up if he remains
Villa lucked out with Emery - the endI wonder whether the Villa ownership also thought ‘stability’ was the right strategy after their demise.
Oh wait…
Over Everton?? Because that’s who they’ve just directly leapfrogged. On a different note, I really hope Sunderland achieve Europe. What a story that would be at first season back in PL.
We’ve got no chance of getting it. It only goes down to 8th. They have a chance.Over Everton?? Because that’s who they’ve just directly leapfrogged.
Another team that has surpassed us then. ‘We’re making progress’ whilst everyone else gets Europe
Ironically because of Moyes. And yet here we are full circle.Problem is, speak to most younger football fans and they do see us a West Ham. We can argue otherwise but there's very little in the last 30 years to back up our claims of being bigger.
This isn't a small period of struggle. It's terminal decline.
Some of this fanbase deserve exactly what they getWe’ve got no chance of getting it. It only goes down to 8th. They have a chance.
That should have no implication on if we keep Moyes though? Villa got relegated a few years ago, look at them now. My point is we shouldn't be looking at WH and worrying. We should be more than capable enough to replace him when the time comes.I argue the toss with anyone I meet but if someone says West Ham and Everton have been at a similar level the past 30 years they're probably about right.
What are you on about? Have you looked at the table? Look at it, look at the goal difference that would be required and then cone back to me with an intelligent response. Some of this fanbase deserve exactly what they get
