I'm 'younger' but would never think we're that level, not all of us are weird.

I argue the toss with anyone I meet but if someone says West Ham and Everton have been at a similar level the past 30 years they're probably about right.

We’ve got no chance of getting it. It only goes down to 8th. They have a chance.

Problem is, speak to most younger football fans and they do see us a West Ham. We can argue otherwise but there's very little in the last 30 years to back up our claims of being bigger.

This isn't a small period of struggle. It's terminal decline.

Ironically because of Moyes. And yet here we are full circle.

That should have no implication on if we keep Moyes though? Villa got relegated a few years ago, look at them now. My point is we shouldn't be looking at WH and worrying. We should be more than capable enough to replace him when the time comes.

What are you on about? Have you looked at the table? Look at it, look at the goal difference that would be required and then cone back to me with an intelligent response.

You can accept finishing below the teams in the top 5 or Chelsea or Newcastle for example, even Brighton.

But not promoted Sunderland who declared after getting 40 points. Brentford who've hardly won in months and have a set piece coach as manager and lost all their forwards in the summer. Or Bournemouth who lost all their defenders in the summer and have had a lot of injuries.

On the other hand you can say at least we're not West Ham but we know you can get into a tailspin at the bottom. We had the momentum to get Europe and blew it.

You are right that we should absolutely want more but at this stage you would have to be surprised if we actually got it right after 30 years of getting it wrong.
