2025/26 David Moyes

We play so deep and with the lack of pace and how cumbersome the back four is , the midfield is too easy to play through.

We will have another year of this if there isn’t proper recruitment in that area.

We play like some lower league side away at a premier league club in a cup match , erratic, no cohesion , hoping to win a flick on or an individual piece of brilliance. There doesn’t seem to be any strategy except to paper over the cracks of our weaknesses and hope something or someone does something great once jn a while.

It’s why our away form is better than the home form, the onus is on the other team to take the initiative and it suits the mentality the manager/club has, when it’s on us to take the initiative we look clueless, overly cautious and erratic .
Also we've nicked a lot of tight games this season and drawn a few with bits of individual quality from the likes of Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman which isn't something concrete that you can rely on game after game. Which is why percentage football managers can go from hero to zero in a short space of time

It depends how you see him. Personally, I think he knows what has to improve and how he wants to do it. But more critical fans will think he doesn’t have a clue!
If he knew what was needed to improve he wouldn't be playing JOB out of position every week and refusing to change a failing centre back partnership who are conceding over 2 per game.

He's stubborn, risk averse and slow to identify problems

How many goals have we conceded since brantwaite got injured. I dont care if you are pro keane or tarkowski but as a partnership they concede terrible goals. Pick a right back from coleman, patterson or garner and put obrien at centreback. Nope moyes has not seen it or been too stubborn to change it that we have gone from europa league contenders to playing for 15th.
Surly its not just me that thinks Patterson at right back and o Brien at centre back is a lot less weaker back four than that 4 starting today.
Plus if you are going to have a weak spot..better out wide than down ghe middle

I might be in the minority here, but I think he’s done an okay job. At the start of the season, I was expecting a stable, mid-table season and, let’s be honest, that’s exactly what we’ve got.

What is a bit strange is that when he came back after winning a trophy, I was expecting a bit of progress and maybe a different mentality, but he’s just exactly the same. Unfortunately for us, what he brings has a ceiling.

If he stays one more year, at least we know it’s going to be stable, but annoying. If not, I would go and get Thomas Frank, I think he would suit us as a club perfectly.
Think the majority would say he's done ok up to the Chelsea but since Chelsea we have manager and players have crapped themselves not been brave enough too passive to win a game to rigid in playing certain players who were completely out of form .

He does it as he obviously thinks he’s the best player there for the system.
