2025/26 David Moyes

We play so deep and with the lack of pace and how cumbersome the back four is , the midfield is too easy to play through.

We will have another year of this if there isn’t proper recruitment in that area.

We play like some lower league side away at a premier league club in a cup match , erratic, no cohesion , hoping to win a flick on or an individual piece of brilliance. There doesn’t seem to be any strategy except to paper over the cracks of our weaknesses and hope something or someone does something great once jn a while.

It’s why our away form is better than the home form, the onus is on the other team to take the initiative and it suits the mentality the manager/club has, when it’s on us to take the initiative we look clueless, overly cautious and erratic .

I might be in the minority here, but I think he’s done an okay job. At the start of the season, I was expecting a stable, mid-table season and, let’s be honest, that’s exactly what we’ve got.

What is a bit strange is that when he came back after winning a trophy, I was expecting a bit of progress and maybe a different mentality, but he’s just exactly the same. Unfortunately for us, what he brings has a ceiling.

If he stays one more year, at least we know it’s going to be stable, but annoying. If not, I would go and get Thomas Frank, I think he would suit us as a club perfectly.

They need to be pro active and bin him now.
The alternative is another lost weekend of a season - a few token wins/draws in September - the long winter winless run until February then the inevitable sacking al la FSW, Lampard and Dyche.
Will we ever learn ?

He’s turning into a slightly better Dyche imo. Too stubborn to acknowledge when he’s got it wrong and too rigid to change his ways. There’s a cap on Moyes that’s self inflicted.
It depends how you see him. Personally, I think he knows what has to improve and how he wants to do it. But more critical fans will think he doesn’t have a clue!

This season feels more like stagnation than stability.

Very little (if any) difference in style of play, possession, goals for, goals against, home wins, cup exits, points haul and no real development or break through stars in the team. We were two places and 4 points worse off at same stage last year (but that was with having half a season under Dyche who was pretty much universally disliked and I don’t expect anything from Spurs away) so likely to end up one point better off.
