2025/26 David Moyes

He had Sean Dyche on the verge of being sacked energy in that press conference.

Arrogant, dismissive and stubborn. That's fine when you're winning. It isn't when you're not.
Selfishly I’m probably alright with it, because I very much want him gone in the Summer. Owners can’t watch these press conferences (or recent performances) and see a manager worth signing to a new contract.

If you were a manager of any other business and asked the owners for 80m so you could upgrade your machinery got the money but carried on using the older more familiar equipment how long do you think you would last?
Every time you think hes on the verge of the sack he has managed to pull off a big result away from home and silence the doubters.
I think we will see a different picture this weekend ,If we concede early it could get messy
Haha, he hasn’t been anywhere near getting sacked at any stage this season.

It wouldn't surprise me if he's been told he's going and is trying to position himself to look favourably if the new manger struggles.

The longer it goes on for the more faith people will lose, it’s surely pretty self explanatory.
It is yes. Do you think the current season is the same as the few previous? If not, what are you on about? I think its a massive upgrade(even if its often frustrating to watch), and anyone talking as tho we're trudling along now like we did under the slug, Lampard or Dyche are oblivious and childish in their thinking. I never claimed we needed Moyes for the long haul.
Appologies for misreading you post as passive aggressive.

It depends, if its watching the current dross and bailing out of the cups at the first go then I doubt many will put up with it tbh. Moving a few positions up the league is all fine and well and the Moyesettes love to remind everyone about how we are around 8/9th but there is a bit more too it than that for me as its a fairly short term thing. Many fans want to see signs of a more long term plan, we are 3/4 of the way through a season and there is no style or direction to the team, the underlying numbers are extremely poor (especially in attacking/creativity) Recruitment was poor last summer window and players are being overused because the manager won't use certain other players, players HE supposedly signed off on. What board in the right mind is going to hand him another large kitty when he doesn't even use the squad he has. Another manager may well be able to easily get something out of the Rohl, Dibling, and Alcaraz etc, Moyes hasn't even really tried this season.
Fair points.

Pick him up on lack of pace with Keane and Tarkowski, be the last question journalist gets to ask, thats the issue.
You're probably not wrong but one of them should just grow a pair and do it.

Boyland wrote a full article the other day about the myriad reasons why Branthwaite should be playing in the middle. He should be able to put that to Moyes without having to worry about losing access.

That was utter BS by Moyes in the press conference. Talking about our by far best and proven centre half like some unknown kid breaking through from the academy. Disgusting.
I don't think he was talking about Branthwaite when he said centre backs often play at full back at the start of their careers, he was still talking about Armstrong in wide midfield. The Branthwaite at left back stuff is silly enough without more misunderstanding, he probably shouldn't have added it.

It doesn't seem that he's lost the dressing room, and he appears to still have the support of the match going fans, with his name sang during games. But with each passing day it looks more and more like he's losing the forum. Can any manager recover from such a hammer blow? I guess the ball is in the Friedkin's court.

Seems likes he’s trying his damnedest to lose the dressing room, tbf
