Well Armstrong has been on loan the first part of this season. He playing his oldest CB’s at CB, when at least one of the younger one’s, arguably both should be playing . He’s playing a 36yr old every game in midfield, when the stats tell you he’s dropped off by 50% this season. The first game this season he started Dibling, was the first time he’d started a teenager in 5yrs.

I think if the retain him scenario plays out, he will have a vastly reduced voice regarding transfers, which in itself would start a death spiral for him, as he won’t entertain that and he would be vocal about it. It would quickly become untenable imo.
However, I don’t think he’s the sort of manager to make bad choices with the team out of spite etc so would be interesting how it played out.

It's a bit of a contradiction anyway, we want to pick the best team whenever we can but we've got enough players to rotate and try some things. He knows that Branthwaite claim is ridiculous, I'm not sure what the point of that is.
I don't really mate, im speculating, but based on previous comments and the fact there is 19 year old central midfielder playing in a wide position and hes not - id suggest he's not in the dead close category.
