2025/26 David Moyes

David Moyes' side will be looking to put that disappointment behind them when they head to St James' Park on Saturday afternoon to face a Newcastle United side who are a point below them in the table and have won only once in their last six matches

Newcastle are light years ahead of us...

Well David, they simply arent.

Branthwaite has had 2 full seasons at centre back and this clown is handling him like some wet behind the ears kid who has to prove himself to be better than *checks notes* Michael Keane and James Tarkowski. I don’t know why any young player would sign for Everton as you either disappear completely or get played in your wrong position. If only we could shake hands with Moyes in the summer and actually move forward as a progressive club. The stain of Kenwrightism manages to pervade the brickwork of even a brand new stadium.

Between his lineup decisions and his press‑conference remarks, it’s almost impossible to interpret his actions as anything other than an attempt to get himself sacked. I have no other rational explanation.

All the evidence suggests he didn't get the players he wanted. He may have agreed to the signings in the end but he clearly didn't want these players. It makes no sense to sign players you really want and them not use them. It's pretty obvious the recruitment process didn't work.
It's more that he's comfortable with the ones that he has constantly playing, I would actually assert no matter who we had signed in the summer was displacing Keane and O'Brien long term as that's what he prefers

Our win at Aston Villa was a "magic moment" according to the Moyesiah.

He thinks he's managing Huddersfield.

It's weird how he keeps coming back to the moments where we overcame adversity and "had good results" in spite of no options, but offers no praise to those who played during that time - yet, he's tried his preferred XI, despite saying he's now got options, and they are struggling to get results.
