2025/26 David Moyes

Right so to defend you need to be a physical specimen at full back? I'd of thought positional play and having an engine to get up and down the pitch would of been more preferable attributes personally with balance and pace to be able not to be beaten easily on a one on one. But apparently being strong is more important 😵‍💫
It's not a one or the other zero sum game mate. They have to be able to be strong enough to defend and mobile enough to get up and down the pitch. Aznou is only one of those things.

Well I think it's fairly obvious Moyes doesn't think he can defend. Not sure it's clever management if Moyes signed off the signing of Aznou knowing his limitations and thus not playing him because of those limitations. If Aznou was bought for the under 21s then sure give him time to improve his limitations but you don't buy an ambitious player from Bayern Munich who has been capped by his country let us not forget with the intention of not seeing him as first team capable. So either Moyes has done a Kroldrup with him or he's being too cautious with him. Either way with Mykolenko not exactly playing brilliantly himself it's left us with a big issue at left back compounded by Moyes squeezing round pegs into square holes playing Coleman ahead of him against Wolves in the league cup, Garner at left back against Brighton (home) and Branthwaite against Brighton (away)
Some fantastic leaps in logic to get there.

Just because the lad was signed from the Bayern youth team doesn't mean he's walking into a premier league starting spot.

Yes he has caps for Morocco. Can you name another left back from Morocco without Google? I'll bet you can't.

He was clearly brought in for potential. I want to see more of him Dibling, and Rohl as well.

People keep acting like Moyes single handedly picked these players out of every other player in the world when in reality they were the best choices of what was willing to sign for a club that had been seen as a relegation favourite for three years before he got here.

Looks like making an excuse to me. Shall we look to see what you said about Doucoure as an example?
Does it make any difference if people didn't rate them or they did?

They were starting matches and we needed to replace them in the squad. Whether anyone rated them or not is moot.

Making excuses? I'm happy with the job he's done, check my quotes on that too if it floats your boat.
Whatever I said about Doucoure, I celebrated his goals like any other fan and preferred him to no one at all. First teamer that needed replacing, after years of no investment.
Seems to me the anti moyes brigade want it all and now, devoid of any realistic perspective
