Its not a thing at all, its the same few troublemakers trying to make it a thing. Professional scousers who need their daily attention fix and its becoming very, very tiresome. We all know the one individual who has suggested it but nobody should be taking note of what he says anyway and that applies to a number of topics. Not seen anyone else actively wanting us too lose, its rubbish imo.
In the summer I said on here I'd have only kept Calvert-Lewin, I'd have paid him what he wanted to avoid losing for nothing. We'd have been able to get something back on him this summer.
But, he wouldn't be scoring as many as he is at Leeds if he remained, and right now, I wouldn't take any player we let go back.
At the risk of being repetitive (because you are repeating the same thing) it's not making excuses when I think he's doing a good job.
There's nothing to excuse imo. I am pointing out that 110mil guarantees nothing these days especially when replacing first team players. You asked apart from DCL who? I gave you two. They were first team whether or not I wanted us to keep them. And there were times I did rate them in specific moments because no PL player is always bad.

So we still would have had to replace about 7 players that left the squad with that window.
We had to sign better anyway, all we lost were players who'd have ate into wages to sit on the bench.
The likes of Doucoure, we had an option to renew his contract. We decided against it.
To talk up mitigation that we had to replace all these players misses the point - especially when we could have kept any we wanted.

Not an excuse. Moyes is doing well. I would need to agree that he's not doing well for it to be an excuse. I was adding context to the 110mil claim. The RS bought 2 players, each more than that amount.
Thought Dyche did well in two things, not losing his head at the points deduction and managing DCL back to fitness. We still relied on a huge amount of luck to stay up and were definitely watching worse football, proven before moyes spent a penny

I don't think it misses the point at all when we can both agree that Moyes shouldn't have kept them and therefore those players needed replacing in the squad.
Handing out new contracts and wages to the any of them wouldn't help us this season.
Would be very suprised he’d have been in the slightest bit interested in leaving Bayern to come Everton so he can be sent on loan to PNE or similar.
He’s must spewing, it’s on record Bayern had first team plans for him this season, but oh no, he’s not good enough for us - and that game changing get out of jail cameo v sunderland was just an anomaly.
Again though, considering the context of the debate;

It was a positive, not a negative - there isn't a single player we let go, who we wouldn't have needed to sign an improvement on.
