Lad, im genuinely shocked with how many fans are moaning about the team selection today. It was a good result on the road against a good side and we controlled most of it. I just dont get their logic and their hate for moyes. Seems they would rather be where west ham are or am i missing something?

It’s also 1 win in 5. Draws are useful if you’re trying to avoid relegation but not if you’re going for a European spot.

Massive turn around after spending past 4 seasons being involved in relegation scrap after relegation scrap.

The first half was terrible, but the idea we didn't 'try' to win is ridiculous. We were the better team in the second half and missed an absolute sitter at a crucial moment.

They were set up to try and stifle Brighton. Not to win. Not to attack, but to block and to try and squeak a point.

Brighton were woeful and the decisions made with the starting XI hampered his efforts to adjust the tempo - it's quite hard to play on the front foot with 4 centre backs and 4 central midfielders.
Had he not been so bloody pragmatic (or even negative) to begin with we'd have performed infinitely better and give ourselves a chance of maintaining pressure on them in their half of the field.

Thankfully we have squad depth for the first time in a decade and some attacking changes saved us from a defeat that would have been a shocking result. Had KDH scored from that first shot, he'd have defaulted to type and we'd have had 10 men behind the ball.

Four CBs at the back with a RB & a LB available says it all - I doubt he could pick his nose never mind a football team they Brighton had not won a game for 10 games - we were so lucky to get a draw - its so boring to watch too....

Im honestly shocked. I hadnt read the forums and watched the game and thought good solid performance, good deserved point. Then i come on here and theres genuine outrage. I mean for what??

The lack of perspective is baffling.

This vocal minority cant be allowed to let what happened to west ham happen to us.

Home form is too passive and far too predictable. When everyone's fit, I really believe we could play a lot better.

Look at West Ham

Out of interest I read through the West Ham fan forums recently & surprisingly i didn’t see any wishing they had Moyes back despite their perilous position. There seemed to be agreement that they couldn’t watch his style of football any longer.

Relevant to our current position was their surprise at how weak the foundations he left were & the state of the squad he left (age & balance).

Their anger & blame was directed at their Board.

Good result really. Wasn't able to watch due to work today but followed commentary and seemed another tale of two halves which unfortunately has been common this season, I think that's the most frustrating thing.

With another 3-4 quality players though we could really be something. I hope it all works out.

I mean, Brighton are very good at home. People should take that into account. This is the home table. It is also a place where we need to improve, if we are being honest.

They kicked him out to do a rebuild and chase some mirage of West Ham Way football. Moyes made them a lot of money through European football and they squandered it on bad players and chopping and changing managers.

They also thought it would be easy to do follow the trendy model of buying foreign players and selling them on for big money. It gets harder the closer you are to the top of the pyramid.
