2025/26 David Moyes

Who`s celebrating ?

It was a crap first half, a much better second half, which everyone pretty much agrees on.

I haven`t read anyone " celebrating " anything yet ?

The season has a long way to go and I`m sure there`ll be more twists and turns, so who knows where we`ll finish ?
The conversation you inserted yourself into was literally about someone using the term "celebrating mediocrity". I simply gave my opinion on it. In another post you replied to me on in this thread you claimed people were getting arsey about being called out for being disappointed that we didn't lose where there isn't a single post even intimating that a poster is unhappy we got a late point. I would argue that @JobForTheMoyes, @Eggs, @Kevsleftpeg and many others are posting very positive posts about our position and achievements this season. Are they celebratory? I suppose that's open to interpretation but it certainly seems so to me.

We don't know exactly where we'll finish, that's true, but we've bounced between about 8th and 12th for the past few weeks and I would bet we'll finish somewhere in that range.

oh look, volunteering someone else find your evidence for you.

again.

what a remarkable pattern of behaviour. :)
I think you struggle to understand where the burden of evidence is in an argument. You constantly ask me to find evidence to support the argument of the person who I am disagreeing with. It's odd.

You can be a Moyes fan and admit that was utter turgid stuff today, to do otherwise is bordering on cultist behaviour. I think the majority are in the first category.
That first half was as bad as any half under Allardyce. Just nothing happening going forward.

They came out with some intent in the second half and Beto's instincts saved his reputation today. There was absolutely no need for the 4 centre halves to all start. I think that was harsh on Patterson even if he doesn't trust Aznou.

Zero shots. Not zero shots on target. Zero shots. It was worse than Allardyce.

I haven't asked you for anything for a while. I'm happy on the sideline making the same quip every time you give me chance. :)

Last week I was 'weird', this week it's 'odd'. Ok. Brill.

You are odd. You only ever pop up in response to me to ask me to provide evidence to support the argument of someone I'm disagreeing with. If someone said to me that the earth is flat, and I said it was not, then they said it deffo was then I would ask them to prove it. You would then pop up and say YOU ARE ASKING THEM TO FIND YOUR EVIDENCE FOR YOU AGAIN!!! GRRR....

That is weird.

Nothing wrong with celebrating progress. Some people are just endlessly miserable. I’d imagine not many of them could stand watching rugby union!
