2025/26 David Moyes

Good here this evening isn't it.
You can absolutely sense the fume off some that we equalised there .
Seething they are as their rants mean less now .

Agendas mate, it`s all about the agendas, all led by the same posters week in week out.

The goal posts for where we should end up in the league at the end of the season, gets reset every match by the same crew too.

I like Moyes and generally back everything he does, I think he’s been great for us and we are in a great position thanks to him.

Yet today was a bit daft from him and I think it’s fine to criticise him if we think he’s made mistakes. There was no need for that lineup and that game was there for the taking, Brighton are a good team but not a patch on what they were under De Zerbi. Having absolutely 0 xx from the first half is utterly dire, you have to at least try and attack.

They may want to play for us, but I'd be surprised if the prospect of playing via the tactics of Moyes for another 18 months is filling them with glee. Moyes is a steady, mid table manager these days, and that's it. I want more than steady. A bit of entertainment here and there would be nice.

got to be both mate a player doesn’t just sign as he’s at the club

and aren’t you happy with mid table?

Once again with the sub par insults. Doesn't get under my skin at all. Wish you would up your game if I'm being honest.

You tried to play the facts card and when called out you tried to play yourself off as a simpleton and I didn't make sense in my argument.

You then told me to take a walk and make a friend. You've stepped up to I should spend time with people my own age.

Such riposte, not sure if I can recover from it.
Mate your arguing about something that happened a month ago, due to me having a life, friends and other things happening I’ve moved on Moomin tbh!

I get the feeling reading your posts that you think yourself pretty cleaver. Thing is Moomin it’s a bit sad your need to argue something that happened a month ago.

It’s a bit embarrassing, you can try a pretend you don’t care but you still want to argue about it, your still fumin!!

The back four was the right players to play as Brighton put a lot of crosses into the box, and it's fine to play a bit negative in the first half to frustrate the opposition. The whole mood changes if Dewsbury-Hall had taken his chance then we could have gone back in our shell and frustrate Brighton. Moyes's problem is at home as he can't set up a team that can dominate possession, even though we have some fine players, and go on the front foot. He has the team playing negatively at home and I would expect the defence to get better with Branthwaite back so he should play more attacking players. Aznou, Dibling, Alcaraz, Ireogbunam etc. should all get more game time.

Each to their own.

Thought that game was an absolutely horrific watch, due to a horrific team selection and some horrific tactics.

Also thought we were extremely fortunate (again) to not go in at ½ time with an insurmountable goal difference.

But you know…… Moyesiah.
It wasn't the best watch, but i'd take a 1-0 win over us trying to play extravagant with no fit fullbacks and losing, for example.

Team selection, really only one debatable change in personnel (Patterson or O'Brien) and it's really a coin toss as to whether that would have backfired horrendously against Mitomo, not sure what else you'd like to have seen, injuries will make you have a less than ideal team selection / tactics.

Just my opinions. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Moyes can only make choices based on what he has available.

Moyes gets on my proverbials
Keane - straight back in
Aznou - not played when he was near MoTM when he last had an outing
4 CBs strung across the back 4 ffs
No shot on target in the entire first 45 mins

Only actually started playing football after we’d lost a goal - ok KDH should have buried that chance just before.

How about, just for once, we go for the jugular against a team like Brighton - with one win in a dozen games - from the kick off and aim to win? Instead of ultra defensive and then have to claw our way back into games. Sick of it

If attacking isn’t working at half time then by all means, bring your favorite CB on to shore things up.

I unashamedly think he’s sound.

He’s shored us up post-Dyche and ok he may not be the man to take us far into the future but I think he’s the man for now.

Are we perfect? Clearly not, but we are in a transition period. That phrase is chucked about loads in the media but it genuinely applies to us.

The fact we’re sightly disappointed with an away draw where we were crap first half but decent second half demonstrates all of the above.

Chill gang, all is/will be well.

The only person getting upset and angry is you.

I proved my argument right, you went down the sub par insults and are still doing it now.

I do like that you said ' cleaver ' now I am thinking I'm clever compared to you. I'm sorry for engaging with you, never realised at first but it's quite clear you have a disability.

So sorry for upsetting you.

Likely we'll finish the weekend in 9th which I think is about right for where we are.

I understand why people want a new manager, it's the way of the modern game, but it doesn't sit right with me that we look to get rid of him when we're not underperforming. Bringing someone knew in doesn't guarantee improvement - in many cases the opposite happens. People need to remember that.
Look at West Ham 🤭

Moomin you actually just made me laugh, although I’m not sure laughing at people with disabilities is ok… says a bit about you though doesn’t it.

Angry old man, probably a sexist and a racist to.

The United game saw us deal with a monumental amount of crosses very well, against what looks a bigger team than Brighton, to me. We didn’t need 4 CBs to handle that, like.

The kind of well thought out and reasonable post that will get you absolutely rinsed on here. Brace yourself my sensible chum.

Think he got the starting line up wrong. Showing way too much respect to a team like Brighton to go so defensive. I’m glad I didn’t catch the first half.

Team seemed to work better in the second half but that was a poor goal to concede (and don’t think that happens if JOB or JB are central because they have more pace and would be closer to the man). Took him to scrap the 4 CBs and bring on more direct players to get anything from the game and he was lucky he did.

Needs to learn from that and needs to get the players showing up for the full game. The players we have are good enough to get into the European places, but he needs to show some aggressiveness in our play.

He has done a generally decent job up until now but now the squad (with all the signings) has been together for 6 months, we need to start seeing more and pushing on.
