2025/26 David Moyes

I unashamedly think he’s sound.

He’s shored us up post-Dyche and ok he may not be the man to take us far into the future but I think he’s the man for now.

Are we perfect? Clearly not, but we are in a transition period. That phrase is chucked about loads in the media but it genuinely applies to us.

The fact we’re sightly disappointed with an away draw where we were crap first half but decent second half demonstrates all of the above.

Chill gang, all is/will be well.

i’m also with you here ;)

…BBC;

However, Everton's response in the second half was impressive.

They had seven shots after the break, four of them on target, and Brighton's opener came firmly against the run of play.

But Moyes' side did not let their shoulders drop and found the leveller from almost the final passage of play.

Verbruggen could only parry O'Brien's shot into the path of Beto and the striker, who has been limited to bit-part roles in recent months, emerged the hero.

There was a video assistant referee (VAR) check on whether Tarkowski was interfering with play from an offside position, but it was ruled in Everton's favour.

The Toffees will go home the happier side, preserving their excellent record on the road with four wins, two draws and one defeat from past seven games.

And more importantly, they sit only two points behind their Merseyside rivals Liverpool and four behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

I honestly think that’s the opinion of the majority.

I agree entirely, I’m just more of a cryarse than you so my attempts to say the same thing sound more negative.

Better than the previous regime, not perfect, not the man for the long term.

Also, I just want a sexy, young European fella in a scarf.

i can always wear one and meet you in the woods?

no? no?

ok phew it’s cold

Part of the problem is managers see league seasons as campaigns while fans tend to live match to match. In the context of going for a high league finish going away to Brighton and getting a draw is a solid result. Ideally, we would have nicked it through KDH, but to get a point at the end showed the resiliency of the team.

People want to see stylish football, but in the contest of actually getting results and higher finishes it is secondary in importance. At the moment we don’t have the players for it.

got to be both mate a player doesn’t just sign as he’s at the club

Band aren’t you happy with mid table?
And there's the Moyes effect right there. Of course, compared to what we've been through in recent seasons, a stress free season is great. But the football is turgid, and it won't be better next season. He was brought in to stabilise the club and he's done it, and I congratulate him for that. But the feel good factor of our new ground has been undermined by our turgid football. Our new gaff was and still is an opportunity to rebrand Everton, and Moyes ain't the man to bring that.

so you think finishing top ten now

then seeing in the summer the owners want/ think isn’t good?

Waiting til the 80th minute to introduce 3 subs is ridiculous management especially when we were down a goal. Im getting irked by the Moyesiah zealots , trying to discourage discourse about a very flawed manager. He needs to leave he is incapable of change continues persist with his favorites at the expense of a more balanced approach
