2025/26 David Moyes

80 minutes on the clock...wtf was he waitng for in any case?
We had been the better team in the 2nd half until they scored. I didn't like his team selection today, but given we were probably more threatening than Brighton, I'm not sure changing it before they scored was called for. Really the quibble is that it took about 6 minutes after they scored for Moyes to make a sub and that feels like splitting hairs to me.

You change it to win it. Staying as is to get a draw is not what we should be doing.

No disputing he’s done well because the squad is still crap and over achieving but even with better players I feel the football would be dreadful.

I agree. He’s a good manager for the standard we are at. This club needs stabilising and he’s doing a good job doing that. In order to push forward, to the next level, is he the right man? Who knows but he will stabilise us and have us comfortable in the league. Any manager would need about 5 windows to get a good team, especially after the summer departures.

oh the players who want to play for us and sign contacts? oh ok
They may want to play for us, but I'd be surprised if the prospect of playing via the tactics of Moyes for another 18 months is filling them with glee. Moyes is a steady, mid table manager these days, and that's it. I want more than steady. A bit of entertainment here and there would be nice.
