Some people are celebrating a point at Brighton like it's a win, if that's not "accepting mediocrity" what would you call it?
As Chelsea’s billion pound squad have just found out, there are very few “ easy “ games in this league.

Yep by then the teams that decided to win will be on around 43 and awayUntil we get to the magic 38 pts it will be safety first in games mate.
That's not the same as wanting us to lose, though, is it? Does everyone on the match thread who predicts a loss rejoice when we lose? Of course not, that's absurd. Nobody calls anyone out specifically, it's just ambiguous innuendo. If what you describe is so common you won't have any trouble vaulting an example of someone being happy when we lose. I'm betting you can't do it.There’s posters who start posting what score they expect us to get beaten by our next opponents, literally within 24 hrs of our last game finishing.
Then get all arsey when they get called out![]()
Europe still on.
1 loss in 5.
Cry arses continue to cry. Everton are back
Aston Villa are a big club. They invested their money well while we squandered vast sums under Moshiri. That’s the difference.By the same token Villa spend 3 seasons in the Championship until 6 seasons ago, now they can take our best players off us to play in Europe.
Aston Villa ffs.
We have been stabilised, have been delivered a stadium and the means to escape the financial shackles we’ve had to operate in since Kenwright and have (hopefully) left Moshiri’s profligacy in our wake.
So we go and appoint Moyes![]()
They just won 3-2As Chelsea’s billion pound squad have just found out, there are very few “ easy “ games in this league.
Again, that's not what's being said. A point at Brighton is reasonable, nobody is arguing it's not, but it's certainly not noteworthy. Celebrating those results, celebrating mid-table finishes and praising the loose concept of "stability" is celebrating mediocrity. What else could you call it?As Chelsea’s billion pound squad have just found out, there are very few “ easy “ games in this league.

Yeah - most clubs now have many internationals.I know, but that wasn`t my point, my point was that they were made to work very hard for it, despite having one of the most expensively assembled squads in world football.
Why can't he see the formations and team selections that have worked, and start the following games with the same set up?
It's like he has to start every match with the most ridiculous dour lineup possible, and kill any joy in watching football.
It's almost like energy vampire Colin Robinson is the manager. They both have a penchant for cardigans too!
….and the way they played 2nd half sounds like Moyes agreed with you.
