2025/26 David Moyes

But a different manager doesn't get away wins against our bogey team Bournemouth, or Utd with 10 men or Forest with a depleted squad so we end up with less points. People seem to think there are there is this ideal world where if a manager makes certain decisions we correctly we win every game. It doesn't work like that. I doubt there are many managers in world football who would have us higher up the table and I don't really want to take a risk and get the 99% who would have us significantly lower.
What have I just read 😂😂😂😂
And maybe a better manager , gets us better results at home to Newcastle, spurs, West Ham, wolves, Brentford and away at Leeds and Burnley

The views are so polemic its unbelievable.

With a hope for clarity, I think this is the 'general' situation with most supporters:

* DM did a good job keeping us up last season and was indeed a welcome 'safe pair of hands';
* We are pretty much safe now already, which in some ways shows how weak this league continues to be. It means the bar of 'we stayed up' or 'we're safe' is a very low one considering how bad we've been and the points deductions etc;
* We're awful to watch for the most part - even our wins are backs against the wall slug-fests;
* DM is extremely experienced - but football has moved on. It's why there is only him and Dyche still ploughing the same old furrow that the likes of Allardyce, Pulis, Hodgson etc ploughed.
* To have a progressive, positive manager who didn't witter on about limitations, but instead promoted all the positives would be so refreshing. Games would be less predictable and the match day experience would be so much better. Compare DM's soundbites with the incredible positivity of Ranieri when he first met his Leicester squad that the Board had told him would be lucky to survive relegation.

Football is about enjoyment as well as belonging. Sure, we're Evertonians and we'll turn up whatever the state of play, but the older we get the less time (and hope) we have that better times are round the corner. So, to the crux....

Don't give DM any spends this window, shake his hand and give him a decent farewell at the end of the season (not like his last farewell where he ditched us) and have a solid plan in place for the new man so he knows in advance the job is his, he can plan with the recruitment team and we can have a proper pre-season and look forward to a more entertaining season.

I'd sack him now and go for Glasner.

Palace owners will love Moyes, he will be happy for his best players to be sold and not kick up a fuss. Perfect YES man to protect them.

Sorry @Alan Whittle

I think it may be a weird coincidence that when all our best players are missing we have a downturn in form.

It’s almost as if basically the same team that has been towards the bottom end of the table last few seasons should be performing like a team in the top 6 while these players are out.
Would not take too much notice of sack Moyes brigade, it’s most likely built from opinion of knowledge that got no further than playing subbuteo.

That doesn't fit people's agenda. Moyes should have signed Semenyo and Guehi this window and be competing for a champion's league spot.

Tbh it wasnt so much about Moyes. Its this slight entitlement some have. Firstly we're not good enough to have any form of entitlement. I think some already bookmarked brentford and wolves at home as 6 points before we even kicked a ball. For what reason, because they're called brentford and wolves? Snobbery? I dunno. But it just doesnt work like that.
Have you seen our fullbacks and strikers. wtf have we got to be entitled about.
