Great debate on LBC now on Landlords tennents still charging rent to clients when they have no income.......
That's the issue here, untold millions of people are affected by this and being TOLD to stay home. How are they to blame for not having any incomes to pay for rent? And, by the same logic, it's not the landlords fault that their tennants can't pay them because they are told. It's really impossible for me to even grasp much less have a decent opinion of what can be done.

Good for him, as long as he followed social distancing and hygiene cannot see the harm, like to see anyone stopping me see my mother under similar circumstances... I would happily take the fine and give policing by consent the middle finger and all the sheeple who role over so easily!

Cant get a police officer out to a burglary shop lifting etc. However, they soon have enough check points harassing people, horrible curtain twitching nation we have become...

Supply demand and haggling over cost...

My dad had the police round yesterday. Lives in a village in rural Cumbria. Moved the car off the drive to get into the garage and somebody called them to say "He's moved his car! He's not gone anywhere yet, but he's going to! Get here and stop him!"

Cumbrian cops are neither that smart or overly busy so they were there with flashing lights 10 mins later.

I assume your party is on hold as is mine
I will give you one guess where the wife booked for my 60th

Lake Como in northern Italy
I kid you not
I wonder did she see my last pension statement lol
I’m not planning on a party, I was due to be in Spain for a couple of days travelling after a blues music festival, my last 3 birthdays have been out there with my mates. My wife and I generally go to Spain at the end of June, can’t see that happening.

Test, test and test was never the intention of the government or the medical and scientific 'experts'. They didn't have the capacity or enough testing kits. So why were we given the false hope, that the UK would 'ramp up' testing to 250 000 per day and therefore 'squash the sombero' and get on top of this virus?

"The UK has the capacity to process tens of thousands more tests for coronavirus but has failed to organise itself properly, a former director at the World Health Organization has said.
Anthony Costello, a global health professor at University College London, called for the UK to make use of testing machines in every university and big hospital around the country, setting up mobile testing units like Ireland, which is testing far more people per head of population.
There is growing political concern that the UK was still only managing to test 5,000 people a day by Sunday morning, despite aims to increase tests to 10,000 and then 25,000 a day - which is still far short of the 70,000 a day that Germany is managing.
Critics are also questioning the UK’s decision only to test people in hospitals and NHS workers, arguing that a return to testing more widely will ultimately be necessary to suppress the virus.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Costello said a policy of mass community testing was essential to identify new hotspots and eventually end the lockdown, as has happened in South Korea.
“We have 44 molecular virology labs in the UK. If they were doing 400 tests a day we would be up to Germany levels of testing and that is perfectly feasible. Public Health England (PHE) was slow and controlled and only allowed non-PHE labs to start testing two weeks ago but that was only after the strategy shift to end community testing,” he said".

again no argument but 6 months of this like this then god knows where we are . Everything has limits , Without real testing our strategy is buying time but that’s not really a Plan long term is it ? Things will start to stretch at the seams particularly as the police stop people for driving cars or having 2 runs . You see somebody stopped for Siting on a bench but it’s ok for Johnny to go to work and deliver pizzas I just can’t get my head around it .

i’m doing what I’ve been asked to do , as out most of us and I think we all knew this was going to be more than a couple of weeks . The implications of a government simply not being prepared whilst US politicians sold their stock Is going to be on all our shoulders for a long long time .

We can't do 6 months. Virtually every company in the country would go bust. 10 more weeks of isolation and return to work with companies being told social distancing must be forced (so some restructuring of business) and then social gatherings starting to be allowed August Bank would be my guess

Cops don't make the law, they are enforcing it. Degenerating public servants who would willing put their lives on the line for you is outrageous.

If you have a problem, contest in court or berate your local Councillor. They are just doing their jobs. A job by the way that most folks can't or won't do.

The notion that the police want to herd, or strip you of your rights or liberties is nonsense. They are people, with families just like you.

Law enforcement administers the law they don't write it.

that was effectively my point we can’t do it but it won’t be gone , this is and has always been about buying a bit of time . Like I say , couple who aren’t together can’t see each other for National well being but dominos kitchen staff and delivery drivers are good . It’s all a bit mad and will ultimately come to an end whilst the virus is still killing people .

My wife works for the NHS (admittedly a Mental Health NHS Trust) and she went in for a briefing on Monday and there is a real variance in not only the severity of symptoms people are getting but also the extent to which each individual gets any of the individual symptoms i.e. you may only have one symptom or you may have all of them. Sort of makes sense when you see all the reports of people such as Fellaini being asymptomatic.
If he was asymptomatic why on earth was he tested

The government aren't arsed about people getting it, just want it to spread out ie not everyone at once so the NHS isn't swamped.
