At least the start of common sense.....Telegraph.....

”Motorists are to be allowed to park for free across the country during the coronavirus outbreak as council scale back restrictions and enforcement, The Telegraph understands.

Some councils have instructed wardens against widespread ticketing of drivers parked in resident only bays, urging staff to instead adopt a "common sense" approach when issuing penalties.

It comes as councils and hospitals announced parking charges would be waived for NHS staff during the coronavirus pandemic after anger erupted when some health workers received fines.”.....

When are people predicting social events be back on etc and work for none essentials?

Ireland is days away from launching a corona virus contact tracing app.

Apparently all citizens will be asked to download it.

The app uses smart phone technology to record the phone numbers of phones you’ve been infectious proximity off.

To be used for contact tracing if someone is diagnosed.

Covid-19: HSE says contact tracing app could be rolled out 'in the next 10 days'

That data's out of date now.
If you go to

and look at the data for "Yesterday", you'll see our cities were dropping to levels similar to Italy a couple of weeks ago. Give it a couple of days and I'd expect us to be in single digits.

London was down to single digit mobility yesterday, with Manchester not being far behind.

Birmingham seems hell bent on proving that there is a link between accent and intelligence ...

Whilst half the navy are sent home on leave to self isolate with the majority of them qualified level two and three in first aid.
There’s a simple reason for that: it’s likely the forces will be mobilised later on down the line due to staffing shortages during or after the virus’s peak.

If they’re used to help staff them earlier on, their valuable skills will be wasted because many will get it at the same time (alongside) the NHS workers.

At this time, the crew are unfortunately expendable whereas troopers etc. are not. Simple logistics and ensuring man power is available during the real crisis.
