There absolutely is a right and wrong. Telling the truth is right, telling lies is wrong.
I dont bevel any of that to be honest, there are loads of occasions where telling mistruths are better for the greater good.
A patient who has terminal cancer doesn't want to know there diagnosis or prognosis, so the Dr doesn't tell him or the wider public. The Dr is telling a mistrust but is acting on the wishes and consent of the patient.
No point being overly moral you dont survive in life unless you are capable of telling mistrusths or lies, ive actually just read a piece of research that children as young a 14 months begin to mislead, tell mistruth and lie to problem solve. Its absolutely innate, though occupationally not great if your in politics id admit.
Anyhow who says this is the government, could well be the NHS, they are bound by what i assume is a national consent policy or legislation, all health services have them. Im saying that as not being a supporter of the BoJo government.
