I'm trying to be supportive and constructive in what is the biggest crisis we've faced in my lifetime, and his job is pretty much an impossible one at the moment. But of all the ministers involved in this, he's been by far the, shall we say, least impressive. He doesn't give me any confidence at all that he has any sense of a grip on this and he's been found out telling porkies at least 3 or 4 times that I've noticed.

Did you see him on question time last week. Andy Burnham took him to the cleaners numerous times. I wish Andy was the current health minister. In fact I'd be more than happy if he was the current prime Minister.

To be frank mate there's at least one of the senior team who should be charged with criminal offences when this is all said and done.

It's very hard to be supportive of a regime that allowed Cummings' ideology to go unchallenged and will result in at best hundreds more lives lost than might have been.

I've been working near Warrington today, surveying. The number of people I've seen out and about has been truly baffling. I must of had at least 200 people walking, running and cycling past me. It's like everyone else is on holiday while I'm still working (something I'm not comfortable with). Until the government force these soft gets to stay in unless absolutely necessary, people will continue to blunder on.

This isn't about politics anymore. The time to argue that is gone. Decisions have been made and we all have to live with them. History will judge.

What is tremendously important however is raising awareness. Whether in local communities or government. The only way we are going to minimize loss and suffering is working together.

Follow guidelines and act responsibly. We're entering into a period that none of us have experienced. Mistakes will be made. We're faced with an unknown enemy that can strike indiscriminately and without warning.

Knowledge is power, trust the experts, trust in your public servants. They will do their utmost to protect you. This will prey on rich and poor alike. Everyone will be effected. But we will get through this.
And not very kindly in a lot of cases

Opps, might have spoken too soon, they just updated the numbers to 608 new cases and 5 deaths, will stop updating with numbers for now because it seems the numbers are changing during the day (i thought they all are like Italy updating once per day)

I would expect weekend numbers will be off/delayed. Admin types that collect and disseminate the data are going to be Monday to Friday types. Also probably less testing on weekends. Our clinics are closed then.
