The Media have been a disgrace throughout the whole pandemic.

They accelerated the panic buying and are now desperate to keep people locked away and as you say I guarantee within a week they'll start slamming the Government for "excessive actions" etc.

Sooner Murdoch and all the other rags get their wings clipped the better.

It`s in their own interest to create panic.

Yeah just seen this now about the meeting at 5pm so there will be no briefing but he's expected to speak a 7pm to announce more lockdown measures

Some people can't stay at home because their companies are ordering them to come to work. It's up to the government to close down all companies, shops, offices that are non essential.

Got a new fridge coming in the next 2 hours to replace the broken one purchased in October only last year from AO a Fridgemaster where the dial buttons have disappeared on the temperature dial completely 2 weeks of broken promes from Fridgemaster - first the repair engineer was sick, so they put the date back a week rang them on the day he was to come out ....- another excuse the part had not come in - also they had let us know by telephone two days earlier lying barsterds .... so I told them AO who had been brilliant Ok they could have their crappy Fridge back - AO telephoned them and warned them and AO are doing just that today with a bigger Hoover Fridge costing me only an extra £20 honouring the fitting that I paid for in the first place - my first day of a vulnerable isolation person broken already thanks to Fridgemaster ..... Also the fridge is full of food plus my insulin - the inconvenience etc ...
proves those extendable Guarantees are a waste of money as Fridgemaster can not honour a 12 month guarantees under consumer law - they even tried to charge me for the part needed a thermostat as it was not electrical..urm worked as a Glasshouse expert for over 35 years I told them how a thermostat worked.....so sod off or words I could not print on here...
I have to point out AO took no crap off Fridgemaster either, and customer care from them as been top class in trying to get it repaired for us , and then arranging a quick delivery of any model -
I needed this with Coronavirus distancing rule for me coming in force today on my families mind like a hole in the head head - the fridge is working but at what temperature? My insulin is stored in there fgs...
So a new one is needed -thanks to Fridgemaster not honoring the law of trade..... i.e. a 12 month guarantee on electrical fridge working parts.....

Oh fair enough.

Yeh tbh I think now the pubs/bars/cafes etc here are all shut there is genuinely no reason for people to be in large groups anywhere.

People are still rambling/walking etc but they're out and about and in a lot of open space. I think they'll be fine.

I am a bit worried about the schools situation though. I know full well there's going to be large groups of kids now in the parks and stuff. All these people demanding the closure of schools didn't seem to think about that tbh.

It's gonna be a really weird time.

Surely the whole point of closing the scholls was for parents to do some parenting and keep their children indoors

Aye but was always going to be a challenge when parents may be working from home whilst trying to juggle kids bouncing off the walls needing stimulation that the parents havent the time to give.

As usual the busybodies pushed the Government to do something because "the rest of Europe" was doing it without thinking about the consequences.

No doubt it'll be the same through this whole pandemic - Boris being weak and forced into action by a media feeding off the hysteria and panic of the rabid public amplified via social media and blue tickers.

Its a farce - times like this I wish we just had some oaf like Trump who would stick to his guns and tell those trying to make him do something to swivel on it.

Parents should just do their job and do whats best for the country ,however much it aggravates them
