I'm talking more the difference of rules for vaccinated vs non vaccinated. Obviously the vaccine saves lives. USA have incentivised getting vaccinated by having vaccinated sections in stadiums, different mask rules for vaccinated etc.
I don’t know how the vaxxed/unvaxxed sections in stadiums are being handled, but the masks rules here in the US are functioning entirely on the honor system. It ends up being kind of pointless because the people least likely to be vaccinated at this stage are a lot of the exact same people who never wore masks to begin with.

Looks like we might be reducing the time frame between first and second doses of AZ from 12 - 8 weeks.

You already kept to the Pfizer dosage schedule didn't you? Small sample size here but Delta variant definitely encourages two doses as quickly as supply allows, especially for older patients.

This is depressing. Honestly thought we were done with this about a month ago, every time things look good a new variant appears. Will it ever just go away

Just seen a Grants Shapps interview where he states that Portugal has been put on the amber list due to the Nepal variant and cases doubling there. Apparently cases haven't doubled according to available case numbers and both WHO/Nepal deny the existance of a Nepal variant.

Very odd.

It's if he and they are making it up, but are you sure it was the real Grant Shapps!

We have mate we are the three weeks between doses on Pfizer, we are awash with it too, we got another 800k doses during the week. I think that is our thinking on AZ and brining forward the second doses. I think we are trying to be as preventive as possible, as I see Delta being prominent here and we need more particularly over 60s fully vaccinated. We are a bout two/four weeks behind the U.K. in terms of roll out pace, so have more not fully vaccinated. I think we are looking at the rising cases in the U.K., Delta is now the dominant Varient, it’s only a matter of weeks before it becomes dominant here given the proximity and CTA with the U.K. It’s an unusually quick decision by NIAC I’d be critical of their slow decision making in the main, but hopefully we are seeing this coming down the tracks and doing all we can.

All eyes on the U.K. and see how these vaccines hold up!
