He probably means that the warning signs (from SARS as well as the other things the Chinese Government are doing, like harvesting organs from prisoners or deliberately lying about deaths in a crisis (the Sichuan Earthquake in that case)) should have been challenged and dealt with.

Agreed but I took it more that for those being told that they should go back to work by the government that maybe this was a bit premature and dangerous.

It was funny to interesting to hear Maitlis to ask about the government putting those furloughed in danger and Damien Green saying something 'well they only make up 3% of the population.'

You can only exercise with up to one person from outside your household – this means you should not play team sports, except with members of your own household.

Tennis isn't a team sport so can you play tennis with someone outside your household where you're both touching the tennis balls?

Its like golf you have to leave the flag in or out of the hole if you leave it in - I imagine this would happen a brilliant comedy sketch -

I took your remark that "it doesn't need to be like that" was you saying that the UK response is all wrong and it should be done differently.

It does need to change a lot; they need to scale up the tracing and testing to a point where they can get people a test within an hour of sending an alert and explain to people why the app will need to work in the way it will have to.

Man, thats suprising to see the two most extreme geographically and isolated island nations having the lowest cases. Couldnt have seen that coming. Really would have figured it to be a land locked country with actual neighbors and situated along the 37th parallel.
