Wife works in payroll she said all furlough payments went on usual payment date as they normally would and her company claim it back from government. Thats what is supposed to happen but if the bar she works at as no money they may only pay when they get it.
I suspect that this is what has happened. Do you know when employers actually receive the money from the Government?

I think it’s an incredibly difficult situation to navigate but , and I appreciate I’m repeating myself , at times Of high pressure then clarity and clarity of instruction is everyone’s friend . Put simply this isn’t happening and I’m not sure how that situation is resolved .

Clear clarity from Johnson, you do know that's not possible. Not even a Johnson, if possible. It is impossible the man is an empty vessel, with no conviction to act in the best interest of the country he serves.

Keep an eye out if she has been part time as the employer/Government can average the wage over 12 month, I have a relation who did 6 months part time & 6 months full time and she got an average 80% on the 12 month tax year......
even though he last 6 months was full time.....
She only works part time (she was still at school) but has been on the payroll for 18 months.

Meanwhile, in Sensible Town, been the quietest day probably all week.

Dropped some stuff at my parents, drove past the Lake Grounds, (massive open space with a big lake and open air pool), which would be packed usually. Its a magnet for folk from south Bristol on days like today.

Seen it busier in November.
Do you live in a town with 95% of the pop over 70 ?

I’m just hoping that social distancing is integrated as second nature into many peoples minds, I’m hoping that people in England are not soft.

Even with that picture the other day in the park of a lot of people sitting in the sun it still looked that they was 2 metres apart from other people? And I suspect most if not all had some sort of hand sanitizer.

Untill there is a vaccine then a think people will still be careful of getting up close with strangers, it’s the indoor environment and the enclosed spaces that is the biggest killer, and that is what needs to be properly managed.

I’ve been in work right through this me, in a workplace that brought no measures whatsoever in social distancing, apart from 3 people to a canteen but even then it’s breached almost every day. This is what needs to be properly managed, this is where the second spike is coming from in my opinion if not monitored, massive fines should be focused on business’s not people.

Is he in school on his own ?
Not a sign of another kid anywhere ?
Try that with 500-600 kids turning up between 8.45 and 9 am
Propaganda methinks
I was thinking about playtime. When I have ever visited schools at that time, it's like organised chaos with children weaving in and out of each other.

"Sorry Little Johnny... you now need to play outside but you have to stay 2 metres apart!" With a confused face, "Miss, what's a metre?"

On another topic, my wife works for a school and apparently (word of mouth) there's been children trying to come today as the parents have gone back to work.

Unless the definition of a key worker has changed, my wife suspects there'll be some aggravation caused because of this as they're turning them away.

In which case he should have released the document with the statement. Raab has just been on the BBC and been all over the show , effectively giving his interpretation which seems at odds with what the considered view was . Raab is already backtracking and clarifying after his earlier appearance and this bloke will have helped draw it up and even he’s not sure . The reason ? Because it’s not clear .

A SAGE scientist was in Radio 5 and frankly a lot easier a listen , the problem is the genie is now out the bottle . They needed to have a coordinated release of this when even if we disagreed we could see what they were trying to say . Now we’ve got a situation where do you honestly believe the majority of the population are going to go through the details of a 50 page document and a commons address ?

I think it’s an incredibly difficult situation to navigate but , and I appreciate I’m repeating myself , at times Of high pressure then clarity and clarity of instruction is everyone’s friend . Put simply this isn’t happening and I’m not sure how that situation is resolved .
All I'm saying is don't go overboard before seeing the detail. It's been like Monty Python on here since last night. It's not even an 18 hour wait and most of us would have. been asleep for half of that ffs.

If it turns out the detail isn't there well fair enough as I said. Dominic Raab is one of the cleverer cabinet ministers and if he was struggling it doesn't auger well.

And yes I believe everybody should take the time to look over the document themselves, that's if they're arsed about getting a truer picture. Many won't be which is the problem. They would rather get the version which supports their own preconceived opinion so will just read whatever journal which does exactly that

Thought Bristol was the mainstay of that voyeuristic Kyle show that got binned, maybe stay at home watch TV fiddle with FB was not much of a leap...

Me "living" in Bristol is like saying my Aunt, who lives in Hoylake, "Lives" in Liverpool.

Its not without its problems, and has its rough edges, but for some reason, it has a brill community spirit. Has had for years.

It does seem a bit of a weird priority, I have to say.

Like I can buy the idea that if they loosen the lock down, (sic), and encourage more folk back to work, then making cycling and that more easier than a train or a tube is not the worst idea ever.

Just not sure if you have to get a bus train or tube to work, you would have to be Chris Hoy to be able to cycle there anyrate.
Will not be a problem for @arminisgod lol
