says the man who said it was just a cold......

It's pure hysteria being generated. The virus is a danger to the extreme elderly and people with chronic underlying health conditions - those people usually at risk from the common flu.

I dont want to suggest it should be treated blithely, but the scale and tone of this reporting is appalling.

To be fair, since then Dave has learned enough to tell Chris Whitty what to do, and he most definitely was not a MURDERERERER in February.

In simplistic terms, from what I could piece together from Captain Dumbass’ ramblings

Stage 1 - more freedom to exercise, sporting activities within own households, people in outside work can return, travel to work by alt means where possible

Stage 2 - Reception-Year 2 and Year 6 kids back at school after May half term, re-opening of shops with maintenance of social distancing from June 1st in stages over that month

Stage 3 - Lesuire and hospitality re opens
Year 1 I think he said.

I suspect the teaching unions will be be calling for PPE for all staff very, very shortly.

Like above, you'd imagine that their unions will be asking for clarification about this as soon as possible. If it's not safe, they shouldn't be in.

Fingers crossed but if there's not enough for the NHS then I have no idea how anyone else is going to get any. Maybe we'll get the dodgy stuff from Turkey on the cheap

I agree mate if they are sending the kids back they should definitely be making sure you guys are protected as much as possible.

Having home schooled my KS1 aged lad since lockdown began I know full well how hard you guys have it so big respect to you and all your colleagues dont know how or why you do it! lol

I am a secondary teacher mate -- no idea how primary teachers do it! But yeah, anyone who is forced to work in an environment where social distancing isn't possible is entitled to ask for PPE. Otherwise you are taking on an extra level of risk that could have been avoided under a more competent Government.

The "why" is important, as it's the stick that will be used to beat teachers. If the profession isn't just a job then employees are going to be more receptive to taking these risks "for the kids". My pupils are brilliant, don't get me wrong, but I'm in no rush to see the inside of an ICU.

You know the rat Tim Martin will open Spoons on the first possible day with the minimum staff needed on the lowest possible wage, don't you.
I’d like him to take a financial hit personally, but he will turn this into an earner no doubt.
