Probably more to do with education/socialisation being vital in a childs development at KS1 age and obviously Yr6 have sats that leads them into secondary school.

The other years can realistically wait a few extra months.

No chance. These kids won't be returning to normality. In all likelihood they will be split up into different rooms with different teachers, possibly different pupils than they're used to. They'll have to keep being told to keep their distance too. In my opinion that's more unsettling than you know, just being at home with their parents.

SATs have been cancelled also.

True mate - although Isnt the risk of COVID to kids very small anyway from whats being studied?

Obviously they can spread it like but I dont get why people moan - without a vaccine COVID will still be here come September so what do we do cancel school forever?

He gave a rough timeline of whats to come providing the R level stays below 1:

June - work
July - social stuff like pubs and restaurants

The only thing I would have liked to have been expanded on was who is allowed to work now like did he mean just construction workers or all tradesmen / self employed.

I assume more will come out over the coming days.

People will and would have moaned regardless of what he had said its the social media age.

Pubs will NOT be opening in July.

If people are being encouraged to go back to work then there should be clear and detailed instructions and guidelines regarding the basic safety provisions their employer has to abide by and clear legal backing to withdraw labour should the work environment not be up to scratch.

That said they've turned the other cheek and ignored key workers who have complained about their workplaces so they're not gonna start now.

Ignore the murdering scum.

Stick with...

I would get rid of it. Blair brought it in as a clever plan to ensure he had control over parts of the country even if he lost an election, that’s worked well.....

Our lot got paid for a couple of years even though they were refusing to take their seats. A real farce of a situation. Cant even vote them out because it's a grand coalition.

But what about the teachers? Do they get PPE? Are there tests available for the, if they show symptoms?

Why just the teachers, do the children not get PPE ?. Who knows if it’s the Teachers that are ill and giving it to the kids. If parents are willing to allow their children to go to school, why are teachers not willing to take a similar risk, a risk I have to say that is far less than NHS employees are taking......
