The females are sexy. The males are feckin eejits

A large portion of ginger women are fakes....or were before the lock down (ha swung this back around to be on topic) There has to have been at least a 1% reduction world wide in "gingers" thanks to COVID.

Oh...and on behalf of my ginger male cousin and the ginger male GOTers

KOFF.

Wasn't it one of his teachers that said
"Boris was born to lead but it might be better if he doesn't "

It's probably telling that the response has not suffered for his absence. Indeed, there was a survey published recently showing most of the public want to hear from the scientists, not Johnson. He's an irrelevance really, which is terrible for the prime minister.

*edit, here is the survey

Im pretty sure I read a while ago they were reporting deaths such as if someone dies of cancer but tests postive for the virus they still died of cancer - whereas we do the opposite and put COVID on the death certificate.

Reality is that its near impossible to know who is doing it the right way at present - the only one for sure who has fiddled the books is China as no way did they escape with as few deaths as they have reported.
Although Im sure they said Asians are less likely to die from it than others..

Quite possibly. I'm not at all convinced his 'charismatic' leadership is all that, but he's not once shown he has any aptitude for details or unflashy graft, yet that's precisely what is called for during this process. His magniloquence is a complete waste of time when people are struggling.

A huge generalisation but think the fact the us the US and Brazil all seem to struggling in the face of this crisis shows the obvious limitations of populists At times like this . So many factors to it but compared to actual politicians around the world they’re been weighed , measured & found wanting .

Agree with that. Traditionally, populists have thrived because they either don't get elected, and so never get held to account for their grand promises, or the timeline for judging them on their promises is sufficiently long to render them practically unaccountable. This situation is neither of those, as the consequences of one's decisions are laid bare within weeks or months. I suppose the question is, has it shifted the stance of those who have been taken in by them in the past?

True. But those staff can still be furloughed. The important thing is not losing hundreds of millions in perishable stock. Plus it gives people stuck at home a purpose
My old apprentice now manager of a big Garden centre in Cheshire - reckons bedding plants will be at a premium this year as the growers have had to destroy the plug plants grown in early spring he buys in ready made plants to sell on - as we don't produce much anymore - just certain outlets in the UK plus Holland- there will be some , but like everything with this virus production has been affected in a big way - He is just keeping his shrub, and tree stock alive they threw our a large batch of boxed bought in spring bedding - pansies, violas, primulas etc 6 weeks ago when they closed down..... why garden centres are shut and B&Q are open is a mystery to me?

EU rules Joe.

My mates a manger of garden centre type store.
Over £20k of fresh flowers and plants he literally binned as he couldn't justify paying staff to come in and water them not knowing when he could re open.
That's not a lot of loss for some places, but was massive for that store.

Yep. And currently there is no tailored financial package that works. Plus people are more likely to use what they already have in the garden. And in many areas that have a separate garden waste bin collection, the round has been suspended. Very tough times.
