It'll be interesting to see if there's a change in how supply chains are run after this, which has shown the major disadvantages of Globalism. When there's a sudden need for products which are only being effectively bulk manufactured in one location, inevitably there's going to be shortages. Governments claiming that masks don't really work so they aren't having to bid against private buyers to actually get hold of them is mental.

Arguably, the first thing that should be done after this is a nationalised supplier of basic equipment being setup. If lack of PPE has caused the issues it has during this crisis, how does it contribute to fatality rates during flu season etc?

What I don't understand is all the talk of a "peak" - read on an article that they expect the peak to be in 7-10 days.

How do we know that for sure?
What exactly is the definition of a "peak" in this instance?

Personally, I certainly don't wish anything but a speedy recovery for the man. But you'll probably have to forgive some of our more anti-Boris posters when they laugh at a rebuke about the tone of their posts from a guy who seriously endorsed the mass murder of Iranians

I personally would wipe Tehran off the map, then sort out all of its development bases

Gove confirmed this morning he hadn’t spoken to the PM since Saturday either . Quite clearly Despite the spin and ‘routine tests’ it seems clear the PM has been seriously ill for several days

Because there's no way Gove would lie.
I'm not saying he hasn't got it, and I wish him a speedy recovery if he has. However, the words 'liar' and 'opportunist' instantly spring to mind whenever Johnson or any of his cabinet open their mouth. So it's understandable if there are doubts still.

None that would admit it, a bit like actors, musicians, university lecturers...you would Get a shedfull of hate and bile thrown at you, so like many do, they keep quiet....Which in itself is a disgraceful situation....
