I want to but just cant because of the comments he made such as "take it on the chin" and "operation last gasp" when many other people were dying. He shown such complete disregard as he obviously thought he was immune to such a thing.

As I said, I wouldnt wish him dead but also wont bat an eyelid if he goes. My empathy goes out to everyone else

Fair enough.

Whatever happens, looks like we're stuck with Raab for the time being.

Colleagues of bus drivers who died of coronavirus call for better protection

The state of play for front line staff and those deemed essential workers. The government is failing them.

Now the blame game ante is upped by the government and it's supporters.

UK ministers accused of prioritising careers over lives of coronavirus victims

"Ministers have been accused of focusing on saving their careers instead of the lives of coronavirus victims by authorising “cowardly and shameful” anonymous briefings against some of the UK’s most senior public officials.
Smears by unnamed Downing Street sources against Sir Mark Sedwill, the cabinet secretary and head of the civil service, and Public Health England (PHE) executives show that “some within government are still putting self-preservation first”, according to the head of the senior civil servants’ union.
It comes amid concern across Whitehall that cabinet ministers and their special advisers are mounting a concerted effort to pass the blame for the UK’s faltering response to the pandemic on to officials.
Government sources were quoted this weekend claiming that Sedwill had failed to get a grip of government, PHE officials had not placed enough emphasis on testing and NHS England officials had failed to control personal protective equipment (PPE) supply".

The incompetent and incoherent blaming the incompetent and incoherent, who are blaming the incompetent and incoherent. This debacle is set to continue and we all suffer. Planes, tains and Ferries continue to bring people into the country and none are checked to see if they have coronavirus. Scandalously incompetency by those in charge.

As I posted over the weekend my step mum got PPE for her carer role after WEEKS of promises.

Today she's been signed off by a doctor with all the symptoms of the virus. My dad sounded rough on the phone as well, but he's not cracking onto me how he really is I'm sure.
My eldest lives with them whilst at Uni and he would be a cert to get it as well.

My heads just battered with it all.

So sorry to hear that, hoping for a swift recovery to all x

At long last, after days waiting for hand sanitiser it arrived at 5.00 tonight. Because we didn't have much the gloves are now low on stock and we're on the 'list' for delivery. Aprons are also running low and again on the 'list' for delivery.

How many could she have passed it to though mate ? All over Wirral and Birkenhead every night she is.
I'm fuming with it all as are many.

My local news tonight had a story where QA Hospital in Pompey were using a nursing home to home people with symptoms as they were out of beds.
Well guess what's happened.. yep, 5 deaths in 24 hours as they are passing it round.
Those deaths don't count for our figures either as deaths in nursing homes are not being counted btw.
Absolutely bloody mental. I'd even say borderline criminal that.

The lack of PPE has been appalling, healthcare workers have a difficult enough job to do as it is without worrying about their own health or passing it onto others.
