As I posted over the weekend my step mum got PPE for her carer role after WEEKS of promises.

Today she's been signed off by a doctor with all the symptoms of the virus. My dad sounded rough on the phone as well, but he's not cracking onto me how he really is I'm sure.
My eldest lives with them whilst at Uni and he would be a cert to get it as well.

My heads just battered with it all.

My words are pretty meaningless mate but wishing you and the family all the best, I know you've been unwell and obviously now having your mum unwell is going to stress you out even more.

The lack of PPE has been appalling, healthcare workers have a difficult enough job to do as it is without worrying about their own health or passing it onto others.

The lack of testing and lack of PPE is the main thing LL. It's a fkin disgrace tbh. Basic requirements in order for the people who know what they are doing, able to do their job safely and in turn are able to do it daily.

The lack of gloves amazed me.
When you hear how many you get through just dealing with one elderly man with incontinence etc during a home visit is incredible. 6 pairs easy.
And that's before this virus.

I know mate, it's just crazy. Theres some amazing people honestly going above and beyond what people see and hear about who are grafting away.

NHS workers, school teachers who are working in hubs, bus drivers still getting folk from a to b, cleaners who are beavering away making sure hospitals and schools (for the hubs) are as clean as possible, staff working in shops replenishing shelves and working on checkouts, people delivering mail and important parcels. The list goes on but its a list I try to look at every day and say I'm proud to know a lot of folk who are doing those jobs and wouldn't dare take a back step to it either.

Every day I wake up for a bit of positive news mate, that's what will keep us all going and get us all through this hopefully ;)

Assuming you mean the big T, I fully agree he's a horrid bloke and I'm very concerned as to how he got in power.

However, in terms of who will have the balls to go after China when all is said and done... he might actually do some good. And it'll be up to the EU, Britain and the rest of the G8/20 nations to pile in too. Because it's needed.

Doesn't excuse how bad the reaction has been in the west, mind, especially UK and US.

Let's see, the US and Britian are isolationists now, think the G8 will listen to them? What about the EU then? Oh hai Poland and Hungary.

You would think now would be such an inapropriate moment to have a dig at the NHS yet here we are. Obviously trying to shift blame from his Tory party mates

that's the thing w/ people like this. people want to believe that they'll see what's going on and change their tune. its not going to happen. in a crisis they'll double down on being a total ---hole (i don't say idiot, because they know exactly what they are doing).

mad people wanting borris to die ... hes a scumbag of the highest order against this city

but hes got a unborn baby there and she/he doesn't deserve it ... when he survives it will hopefully change his opinion on the NHS and he funds them accordingly

I'm still up. Still waiting. I can't frigging sleep. I've relapsed into workaholism. The past month has just fried my brain and I think I'm heading for a bloody breakdown.

To think Liverpool winning the title was bugging me.... I can barely remember what Klopp looks like.

I will say this though seeing as I'm up - I think from this year on, we should hold a minute's silence every 5th July (the date the nhs was formed) at 7:48pm (1948 hours, 1948 being the year it was formed)

We should also light all the Liverpool monuments blue - The graces, Radio City, that big ass hotel in the posh part of town.... even Anfield. Not Tory blue, not Everton blue (though we shall pretend i daresay), but NHS blue.

That's what I'd do if I was in Joe Anderson's shoes.

That's a lovely idea.

The first paragraph sounds like song lyrics. Haha.

Chin up mate, in a years time Everton will be about to seal their first premier league title. Tough times but time marches on and we will emerge on the other side of this nightmare.
