Most of the groups I meet are families too but it's still difficult if you bump into parents with their 3 or 4 kids on a busy road where you cant go off the pavement.

It had been very quiet where I am for about 10 days or so but today was noticeably busier and I saw a few lads hanging around for first time in a long time. Maybe it was just coincidence but it was busier.

I suspect this is sadly what they want.

At this point herd immunity is the only thing that saves the economy.

Theres a very good reason they are building another 4 "cov19 units".

And im not having a pop, we cant keep the lockdown going in the hope of finding "the cure" forever.

For a bit of light relief, put Talksport on. They have a quiz, and seemingly a hot line to Thick Ville.

Q. How many goals did *random striker* score last season? 1,2, or 3?

A. 5.
lol

Presenter. "Ian, can you hear me?"

Ian. "No"
On my.

Q. What league do Portsmouth play in?

A. Portugal.
lol

Q. Who knocked West Ham out of the cup?

A. Derby

Q No. Caller 2, same question, who knocked West Ham out of the cup?

A. Derby.

The Idiot Magnet Quiz that produced those last Saturday starts at 5.00 on Talksport!

First person to pop up in my feed giving it "as a mum" in support of that nonsense is getting it both barrels
Me and My Mrs can't have kids and that drives her almost to murder. 'As a mum' + insert something wrong that you are trying to justify by having snot goblins. nARRGH.

It’s not long term we need a end goal. long term we need a vaccine or slowly develop heard immunity but at the moment it’s necessary an important for the lockdown to stay in place. I think personally a vaccine is what we need am not sure heard immunity will help the vulnerable.

We do need a vaccine but unless one magically appears (in which case, there's more questions there) then it's not coming any time soon.

So having a general immunity throughout the population will have to be the best way, but yes first and foremost we have to get through the next 6-8 weeks.

Then we are all screwed. That’s why this lockdown is vital at the moment. I can’t believe people are moaning already because they are bored.

We’ve pretty much got ourselves into a routine as a family, which other than my teenage lad being “ bored out of his skull “ seems to be sustainable and working well.

It’s just about adapting, which in the grand scheme of things isn’t really that hard to do.

Some people will always whinge no matter what.

All about routine.
Totally agree.
Genuinely have to look what day it is some days.

Personally I have no sympathy for people complaining about having to stay in isolation for a while.
Not just health systems.
What happens to society when folks that keep water, sewer, electricity, and the internet running are too ill or depleted to keep it all working?

Don't think we'll get to a stage where it becomes that bad.

The lockdown will make sure it doesn't get to a stage where it's out of control.

Bit embarassing that some people can't adapt to it. 1st world problems.

Wonder what some people would do if they lived in a 3rd world country.

its out of control now - thats why we have a lockdown, why hospitals are running out of oxygen (and haven't been able to keep up PPE supplies), and why its going to get worse over the next few days

I don't have kids because I'm a selfish arse and can barely look after myself. But the use of that to make out that the act of reproduction makes you some sort of saint bestowed of wisdom and compassion that the childless will never glimpse boils my piss no end.

Also, people who do that have literally nothing else interesting about them, their entire personality is that they had sex once and managed to keep the resultant progeny from dying.

I`m still getting my weekly mileage in with my trail running, I`m just staying much nearer to home and doing loops ( which I hate ) rather than long continuous runs.

It`s not hard really.
Its called common sense mate, we lack it in this country unfortunately. I get out on my bike, go for an hour and keep local. Would love to venture further but I dont.
