It is the underlying conditions that is causing most deaths but it's being called death from covid 19.. for example if someone has flu and has a heart attack the cause of death is heart attack, but if someone has Covid 19 and has a heart attack the cause of death is Covid 19. There was a man in Germany who had a heart attack and died he was later found to be positive for covid 19 and that went down as his cause of death. I have no idea why anyone who dies with covid 19 is classed as dying from covid 19 when this method is not used with any other disease.

You’ve posted this theory many times. It minimizes the severity of the disease and tries to put it on par with the flu.

Doctors are not changing how they classify a death.
COVID can cause a heart attack, thus COVID would be the cause of death. The doctor will know the full clinical picture to determine the cause.

Lets be real, we all ultimately die from a ”heart attack”. What differs is the clinical picture leading up to it - that is the cause of death.

Technically the official cause of death would be Complication of COVID just like flu deaths are listed.

Indeed. This virus is obviously dangerous to some, unpleasant for more, and insignificant (medically) for loads. But to my untrained eye, and this sounds horrible, so far it has seemed to hasten the deaths of a lot of already pretty poorly folk as opposed to being THE SOLE cause of death.

Hope that makes sense.
It doesn't sound horrible, it's a fact. If we want a health care system that allows people to live well into their 80s, 90s and beyond while allowing them to live on with chronic illness that would otherwise have killed them then we have to accept the fact that mother nature will be working on ways to thin the herd.

The article is gone so can’t comment specifically.
However, the coronavirus can cause multi organ failure which includes a heart attack. In such a case the cause of death would be complications of COVID-19. They do the same thing for flu.
Basically the girl had gone into hospital due to having a heart attack and sadly didn't recover. The medical staff ruled it was a heart attack at time of death. The coroner changed the decision on the basis that she had a cough.

So it was never proven she had covid-19 , the coroner changed it based on one thing afterwards. Which is where the story came from , minus the heart attack information first time around.

It's actually a little odd because that story mentioned she was the UK's youngest recorded death. However I am sure this week I saw a headline mentioning a 16 year old? Admittedly I didn't read that story so cannot recall it other than the headline
