Every single football club has the resources and opportunity to do what we’ve done with EITC. The positive branding it would give clubs even if they didn’t care about any of it would still make it a no brainer so I’m surprised they all dot do it as well as we do.

Agree, but in fairness to EFC and EITC, you need the right club culture to make it work. Not all clubs have that.

I talk to people away from this forum (it might surprise you!) and they are all of one mind: we need industry experts and not people who will almost certainly confirm the Peter Principle.

I said all that too.

I've just never liked the way the club has seized on this organisation and its achievements. Yes there's an important crossover and that should be acknoweledged (which I do). However, my main gripe is that the club cling closely to EitC's achievements to mask the undoubted fact that they are horrendously inept at either providing us with a winning football team or making important strides forward with infrastructure.

So my view is this is a beneficial relationship for the users of that chairy but that, cynically, the club also get to hide behind it and use it to deflect.

That is a legitimate criticism imo.

I think there's a lot of good that comes from it. But it shouldn't deter us from looking at the issue in terms of the club's motives....which will multi-dimensional.

As I mentioned the other day on the Pickford thread, I don't often post on here, but I come on to see what's happening, any gossip, etc, etc. I tend to stay on WSAG but pop into other boards just to get a wider idea about anything EFC. Every board has a few cranks, but by Christ, he really is the most contrary, miserable, boring fookwit throughout the boards. His belief that whatever he says is gospel is bordering on some insane self indulgent paranoia. I've just gone through this thread and it beggars belief that he can attempt to put some sort of twisted, miserable, bulls..hit idea of his, that attempts to piss on such a heartwarming and outstanding piece of work by the club. Dave lad, have a fookin good long hard look in the mirror at yourself. Contemplate what you sound like with your sound bites on here, and then pause before typing such drivel. It will do you the world of good. Honest.
