That's true. We got stuffed at Benfica, but at least we had the excuse that we were playing with a scratch team; if I remember correctly we had about ten guys out. It's not as if we were missing one player who was vital to the team.

I know but like this evening, there was no fight. I dont mind us losin, im an Everton so fan im used to it. It's when we go down without even trying or fighting. Didnt watch Spurs/Chelsea due to holiday/work but know full well that would ahve been the same.

Even the 1-1 at City was a bad one, against 10 men for so long and sitting back. I am genuinely feeling flattened by Everton, first time in some time. Even with Martinez it was expected.

the only thing that went our way tonight is that the other game in our group was a draw.so not trying to catch top 2 teams on 3 points etc,otherwise after 2 games if we would lose 2nd group game we could have been 6 points from top

I have supported Everton for 44 years now and should be used to the disappointment that being an Evertonian brings. Tonight was a new low, I thought the Peter Johnson days were bad but tonight was disgraceful.
I feel so sorry for the traveling fans who paid good money to watch a bunch of individuals who couldnt be arsed, manager included. Not good enough Everton.
Will always be a blue no matter what happens but bloody hell I wish it wasnt such an emotional rollercoaster.
