Match Thread Atalanta v Everton - Thursday 14/9

We are looking very 'QPR' the season they went down.

No interest and defiantly no desire.

I hope these new boys aren't just mercenary's

Atalanta are a top 4 Serie A side. We're not even a top 6 Premier a League side.

The worrying this is that our lads actually tried.

We did not try mate. That was not a team at full pelt, 100% effort, desire or commitment. In fact that was as little effort as you can put into a match without someone saying they've threw the game because they've put a bet on themselves to lose. It was a pathetic tepid performance and has been too much of a regular occurrence for my liking

I was working. Just someone tell me we got a shot on goal, you could even lie to me.
24 shots on goal mate
2 goals disallowed
Hit the post 4 times
Hit the bar twice
one goal went over the line and wasn't given
Both their centre halves should have been sent off for professional fouls
2 of their goals were offside and 3rd goal came off Jagielkas arse whilst he was lying on the floor with an injury
We were really unlucky

Hope that helps ;)

A terrible season start like this was anticipated after this crap transfer window. We sold our best players and did not replace them properly.

It's not that the players we signed are bad. They are just not worth what we paid for them. I mean Sigurdsson for 48 million euros?!? Wtf?

We paid prices like PSG or ManCity but signed players like Stoke City or West Ham would do and that's the problem. I think our main deficits are a good playmaker and a CF.
