You do have to wonder what is going on with RK. We have 150 million worth of new players and have taken 10 steps backwards and are far worse than last season and its all over the pitch, not just a striker. I mean what sort of manager doesn't play his number 1 goal keeper when his team have been playing as bad as they have this season. Its not all down to gelling either. We cant even pass the ball to a team mate and there is no passion or effort from any of them. It is like they dont want to play. Reminiscent of when Martinez lost the dressing room. Relegation form so far this season.

Totally agree.

Baffled by some of our recruitment. I think Rooney will prove to be a mistake. He'll get shoehorned into the side, to it's detriment, and his behaviour off the pitch has been an unwelcome distraction.
I agree, we actually began to look half passable when he came off.
Judging by the amount he's getting in the refs ear, I wonder if he's an absolute dose in the changing room and training.

I think a bit of perspective is required here. And I'm not being positive for the sake of being in any way argumentative to those who say that the performance was dire, and recent ones have been also. I agree.

However, let's look at the season so far.
Stoke: A tough shower to play against, and first game of the season they were up for a battle, no doubt there.
Then we were handed the toughest start of a season I have ever seen
Man City - top four and flying out of the traps this season with a team full of top class players;
Chelsea - Champions, and again, full of class players;
Spurs (yes, at home), again, a team full of quality players who arguably could have won the title in either of the previous two seasons;
Atalanta away (why couldn't we have got the soft team at home first...?). Deflection into the path of their player half a yard from goal; world class strike for their second - very difficult to recover from that.
Man Utd away - looking VERY dangerous this season. I see nothing coming from this one.

Four of last season's top six in the first five games, three of them away!!! That is enough to sap the confidence of any team outside of last season's top six!

After Sunday, we have Bournemouth (home), Burnley (home), Brighton (away), Arsenal (home), Leicester (away) & Watford (home).

I would suggest we start ringing the alarm bells if we are still playing dire, and in a dire situation following the Watford game.

If the RS would have been given that kind of tough start in the Prem, they would have been squealing like stuck pigs up to present and beyond...

Echoes of 94.

Great players, rubbish manager.

He is getting nothing at all out of the team.
Needs a change, tonight ideally.

You use the word 'Great' lightly mate....

We have no Striker, no pace up front, little creativity in midfield, and an aging backline... Can't honestly think of one Great player in our squad...

Not defending Koeman, personally have never taken to him.... But....Moshiri and Kenwright dropped the ball here big time.... Do we have money or don't we?!.... Lukaku was out the door back in March, and yet we never signed a replacement striker?!.... Our net summer spend would have been zero if Barkley and Niasse had been sold as planned on deadline day.... So despite all the talk, Moshiri has done F all so far...

Sandro is a backup, a replacement for valencia, rooney is the same for me, a replacement for kone. So who do we have to replace Lukaku? No one. It's gross negligence to go into September with that frontline

Palace played burnley away on sunday and had more shots on target we have had all season. That is frightening stuff
