Always knew I liked that Morgan fella :P

Dortmund. Remember that game? Twas a nightmare to defend against them. Liverpool to some degree. Napoli were just outclassed.

With all due respect we've faced better teams than Everton and kept them out. If you come at us attacking you will struggle.
Think you'll have to play a cautious game with counter attacking.

It won't be like the Man U game. No back and forth. Certainly won't be a 4-3 game. Will be a tight game.

Wow....dreadfully wrong on that one. I mean I could see where you might have thought that prematch but what it tells me is that you hadn't watched this version of Everton much this year as I could have told you we were gonna come at you from the off.

We did and frankly Arsenal were lucky to get anything from that match. Pure domination the first half at the Emirates from Everton. Yeah, you got into it the second half but a point was the most you were gonna get. Lucky to get it.

A few observations:

1) Ross Barkley - Wow !!!

2) McCarthy/Barry tandem - Wow !!!

3) Pienaar - Great match

4) Lukaku - A bit subdued but credit Mertesacker. Best I've seen a CB play against him this season.

5) Osman - That ball to Mirallas !!! Sublime.

6) Everton as a whole - No fear at all and took the match to them. Total domination the first 20 minutes plus.

7) Deulofeu - What a goal !!!

8) Coleman/Oviedo - Massively involved getting forward.

9) Howard - Could be having his best year ever for Everton.

In short, that was the best I've ever seen Everton play in my 14 years of supporting them. Roberto Martinez is one hell of a manager. Let's see if we can not only hold on to him, Barkley, & Baines, but get Lukaku, Barry, and Deulofeu to sign on for another year.

You wanna talk about top four or title contenders, YOU MUST include Everton in those conversations after that performance. You must.

someone made a good comment earlier about 'this whole last 4 games mean naught without following through the next 7 games'. All very winnable, but the team is going to come against others who park the bus. I think the thing that worked well lately is that again Liverpool, United and Arsenal they were looking to open up Everton also, allowing the team to do their things. These upcoming games are beyond vital(duh)

This is exactly it. Look at Liverpool, apart from the odd blip (hull) they basically just batter the routine teams at home. We've struggled doing that previous years and that's what we need to aspire to. Scoring 4 last week was a complete surprise and rarity for us while they do it regularly. It needs to become routine for us too

Daily Mail says we 'battled' to a draw.

[Poor language removed] right off. Why can't these knobheads who write the articles just give us some credit for once?

Agreed. Doesn't this kind of thing s**t you? It's as though Everton has no right to be mixing it with the 'born to rule' clubs, so after an outstanding performance we have to cop this condescending crap.

We owned them for the bulk of the first half in their backyard. Owned them. The title should have said "Arsenal lucky to draw."

[Poor language removed] the Daily Mail.

They do have an insane Kunt playing for them thought . He's a match winner without him they will suffer loses like hull and for me that's the difference between us and them even if we don't smash teams we rarely get given a hull performance. They have the striker but we are better balanced team
