Our pacey fullbacks, counter attacks and Barkley running straight at defenders excites me. Just hope the back 4 plus Howard have a stormer as the Gunners are deadly this year.

Football is not all about pace though. Otherwise the likes of Bramble would be world class as he was an amazing athlete. Mertesackers game intelligence and positioning is his strength. Thats why even now he's benching a top CB like Hummels for Germany and is their starting CB
Who said it was? His game reading is very good, but if you twin good reading of the game and pace to track players with the ball, you have great players. Is his game reading so good that it doesnt leave him exposed on occasion by pacey players?

As a Gooner I've always admired Everton. Like them even more now that Moyesy has gone as he was very negative.

We all know it's going to be a difficult game. But I feel that some Evertonians are massively underrating Arsenal and some of their players Mertesacker in particular.
He may turn like a tank, but you will rarely get a chance to get past him due to his intelligence and the lightening quick Koscielny sweeping up behind him.
And with all due respect we've faced and contained far superior strikers than Lukaku in Lewandowski, and Suarez.

The focus for you guys will be to man mark Ozil. But that's gonna be quite a feat seeing as the players all interchange. Liverpool tried something similar last time with Cazorla popping up. You can't forget about the Spaniard and even more importantly the speed of Walcott.

Looking forward to it. Going to be a great game.
Think it'll be 2-0 to Arsenal.

Arsene, you will have seen a lot more of the arsenal games this season than me is imagine. I've only seen what's been on the box and then highlights. How many teams have actually come and had a go at you instead of sitting back and keeping it tight? (I'm not being funny asking this by the way, I am genuinely intrigued if teams still play that way against you)

I think it'll be a cracker on Sunday. Judging on Wednesdays game, we'll have no fear and will look to play our game instead of worrying about Arsenal's. Obviously being the home side Arsenal will come after us as well and it'll be a face off of two of the best passing teams in the league. There's potential here for a 5 or 6 goal thriller.

Nah you guys have been awesome this year. We're just pretty fired up right now. Wouldn't be surprised either way mate tbh.

You can throw all the stats you like at me Monsieur Wenger, Gibbs is decent, but he's no Baines, or Oviedo for that matter, Jenkinson is super gash at everything other than 20 yard own goals and Mertesacker is about as mobile as a corpse and definitely has a few mistakes in him. It's only a matter of time before you start shipping goals all over the place, I hope Lukaku tears you a new one and then comes back stitches it up and tears it again.

You massive bunch of greasy haired knobheads.

Is this guy serious? Has he ever watched Gibbs play? Oviedo? How many games have you seen him for? And all of a sudden he's better than one of the most consistent left backs in the Prem?
Baines I get. But Oviedo?

The rest of your post is pure bull. I guess all fans get their share of idiots I suppose though.

Dortmund. Remember that game? Twas a nightmare to defend against them. Liverpool to some degree. Napoli were just outclassed.

With all due respect we've faced better teams than Everton and kept them out. If you come at us attacking you will struggle.
Think you'll have to play a cautious game with counter attacking.

It won't be like the Man U game. No back and forth. Certainly won't be a 4-3 game. Will be a tight game.

Gotten to.

we're just trying to find possible weak spots. mertesacker is one that COULD be a weak spot (we're not exactly going to choose your midfield are we?), but he wouldn't have all those international caps for a team like Germany if he wasn't any good.

also don't compare us to last season's liverpool, they went to your place for a 0-0 draw because you were far superior, we don't have that fear under martinez thankfully.

should be a great game between probably the two overachievers (in the media's eyes)

Is this you Garth?

Sagna out, confirmed by Wenger.

[on the latest team news] Apart from Podolski being back in training, everybody else is available from Wednesday night. We had no injuries and the players who were available then will be available for Everton.

[on having Podolski back in training] He’s been out for a long time and is still a bit short of match fitness because he had his first training session today [Friday]. But it’s good news to have him back.

[on Bacary Sagna] Bacary Sagna is short so he will not be in contention.

I wasn't comparing you to Liverpool of last season. It was the Liverpool that came to the Emirates a month or so ago I was comparing you to.
Obviously you're better than them of course. ;)
