They are clearly ill informed, because they have voted for someone who will not improve their own lives. If they took the time to check his actual policy positions they would know that. The fact they didn't take the time to check that and instead got caught up in his reality tv style campaign makes them stupid, because they have enabled monstrous policies and the stripping away of rights. That's before the international harm they have enabled and likely don't care about.

So no, it's not unfair. Unfair is not taking your vote seriously when it affects so many people negatively, including US women. Presumably these dopes have sisters, mothers, daughters etc but 'owning the libs' is a victory or something.

I look forward to watching them have minimum wage increases further blocked, unions busted, workers rights stripped and overtime removed. They'll probably still blame the people waiting for legal processing of their immigration status because they believe a proven liar.

This morning, I have been urging my happy Trumper friends to temper their urge to gloat and to realize the degree of hurt and disbelief we see from the many people we love who are facing the future with no small degree of fear and loathing. It's time to come to the center. It's time to start to heal.

Maybe both to an extent, but people vote with their wallets. When all the exit polls confirmed the economy as a top priority while also highlighting a majority said they were better off 4 years ago, writing was on the wall. Didn’t want to believe it, but it was there.

It’s reboot time for the Dems now. They really need to decide who they want to be. Either come back to the center left or go all the way to the far left. Trying to appease everyone and fearing offense to anyone that might like them for certain things isn’t going to work anymore. Pick your leaders now and get them ready.

Focus on getting quality candidates elected that genuinely represent the people in their area and genuinely do positive things for them. Get rid of anyone who stands in the way of those people. They'll work out policies that appeal to people and, when they win, will deliver them.

Depends on what I guess the issue is, but the magnitude if the win likely will curb any thoughts of going against him as they'll all be looking at self preservation on the Washington gravy train.

Because it might make them think about who they vote for in future. If they don't care that others will suffer because of their decision, then the realisation that they were duped by this movement might make them think twice if they get another chance to vote in a free and fair election.

Depends on Trump's stance and who he has in the administration, if he fills it with neocons then it's a different conversation entirely to if they are kept out the discussions.

What his stance will be on NATO full stop is the even bigger question longer term. His focus has always been on China as the biggest threat to US primacy (correctly so)

Be surprised if conversations don't start very soon behind closed doors at least.

Ultimately only time will show the effects of the election, all the above us just speculation ofc.

As I've said though I'm not doing cartwheels as Trump is very much unpredictable in the worst meaning of the word so it's a yones guess what it means for anything outside ofc of his unlimited support for Israel.

He of course can insist on all the region of Novorissiya but that would deffo be off the table for Ukraine and I think they’d fight to last man and woman to oppose any attempts by Russia to take it by force.

It would definitely become a lower-intensity, hybrid warfare environment that would just drag on and on, and as I see it neither side wants that.

I think they need an identity. A solid candiate can bring that. Picking Biden again out of either fear or blind loyalty was the first major issue this cycle. They ignored the warning signs again and threw a Hail Mary with Harris stepping in, despite her flaws as a candidate. Gave us hope but they played a Sean Dyche style game and just hoped for the best rather than actually trying to win early on by being more forward thinking.
