i would not take 8 million for pienaar. he is a great little player. one of my favourites infact.

There are some players who must NOT go at any cost unless the money is absolutely ridiculous. Steve is in that list. I wouldn't even talk to a club offering less than 15M for our first teamers.
I'm not saying they are worth it in a football market. Their value to us transcends simple market value.

There are one or two who should not go at any cost. There is only one Arteta. There is only one Cahill.

I have a feeling that the Yak could go, trouble is with his injury he's not worth anything at this time.

Get rid of our only depenable striker? Not going to happen. He's worth at least £20million and we'd have to spend nearly all that to get someone half as good as him.

He's had a freak injury, the 1st big one of his career. Hopefully its not affected him too much when he comes back but we wouldnt sell him. After the striker crisis we've had this year, especially with 2 players made of pringles on the bench (Vaughan and Saha) getting rid of the Yak wouldnt be good.

As for selling Yobo, we should not do it as already mentioned we need to have some quality in reserve for injuries.

Agreed, but wouldn't it be better since we have no funds to use the money from the yobo sale to put towards getting a winger which we need a lot more than a reserve CB imo

ave got a funny feelin about the yak to be honest he tends to stay at a club for no more then 2yrs an with man city wantin to sign everyone maybe he will be on there shortlist what you guys think ?

i dont think any one will come in for the yak until he plays a few games first and shows he is over his injury.

i wonder has he put on a lot of weight while he has been out hes never been the fittest looking player

That's pure muscle that, not fat. When he scored against West Ham in the carling cup and whipped his shirt off, he looked like he wrestles bears as a hobby.

Citeh wont be interested in the Yak. Hughes will be on his ear in the summer for a name manager who'll want to bring in named players like Adriano, Henry etc. Even though Hughes' best buy this season for Citeh was Bellamy, the board will want a big name striker. The Yak's not it.

He wont be going anywhere and he wouldnt be going to a better club if they were interested.

There'll be no decision on the ground move until after the summer transfer window closes. The man who is said to have stood behind recent big signings wont be committing himself to any more of that until the stadium issue is resolved. It's odds on, therefore, we'll see another sell to buy summer like the last one.

We will only sell if players want to go.

Which has been the case with any sales as far as i can remember during the Moyes era.

Kroldrup? That affair stunk to high heaven. And I wouldn't say AJ was desperate to leave. Both of those cases were accompanied by the usual whispering campaigns so beloved of the club and it's hired hands in the local press.

All of our players make wages that are pretty favorable in todays market. We dont have to sell anyone. The only players I could see us selling is if City gives us a can't refuse deal for Lescott or if Kazan goes up around to 8 figures for Pinnear and those players want to leave.

Peanut is a nice player but he's got ANC coming up next year plus there are players in his price range that we can get who would do pretty well (Hunt, Downing, plus maybe Gamst needs a change of scenery). I could see him going.

As for Lescott as much as I'd to keep him we're pretty stong at CB (and LB now) and would take 20+M from city for him in a heartbeat PROVIDED we pretty much have a tenative deal in place for another player(s) like Huddlestone. Plus if (when) Boro go down there is some decent talent in our price range (Wheater, Johnston, Tuncay, Downing) we could use the money on.

No one is bidding for more than what Arsenal bid for Arteta now that he's injured. He's not leaving. Ditto for Yak, who going to bid 15M for a player coming off injury and w/ the ANC next year.

No one is bidding for Jags, for some reason I get the feeling that outside of Sheff Utd and us no one really realizes how good he really is.

AJ was a number of factors - We needed money, yes. But did Moyes want him to go? Not really. Would we thought a team would pay £10-13million for him? No, but it happened. AJ was second fiddle to Yak, he wasnt too happy with how we were playing, Fulham were willing to pay £10million for him, AJ and his family could move back down south - I dont think anyone regrets that transfer going through apart from maybe Fulham supporters who feel AJ should be banging in 15 a season for them.

As it stands now we've only key players that are worth alot more to the team than the players we've sold (minus Rooney).

He's what I think the main players are worth -
Jags, Lescott, Arteta, Cahill, Yak - £15-20million.
Baines, Pienaar, Osman, Yobo - £8-10million.
Howard, Hibbert, Neville - £5million.

So you're really talking about Baines, Pienaar, Osman, Yobo who could be sold on that wouldnt unsettle the team and a replacement can come in.

Jags, Lescott, Arteta, Cahill, Yak are valuable key players who finding a replacement for would cost more than we paid for Fellaini. Which wouldnt help the team, especially with the fact we couldnt afford the wages of players of the calibre or better than them.

Howard, Hibbert, Neville no one would want unless its a promoted side.
