I for 1 couldnt give a toss how we play.

I just wanna win, if that means we launch balls into orbit I honestly dont care, I just want my team to win games, if I wanted to be entertained I would watch a film.

I don't think anyone disagrees with that. I don't think it's about entertainment at all, I think it's very much about getting results and how we're going to do that.

I honestly beleive that if you continue to play football, in the end you will win more football matches.

Hoofball wins nothing now.

Hoofball is what we played when we had Cahill and Johnson/Beattie etc playing up top. Last season we mixed short and long passing and made good use of all our players attributes. The first half of last season showed that can be effective if it's done right and comes with other options.

Didnt work out great for Wigan tho did it.

Anyway, im gonna stop going on abar us being tosh, im boring myself, just find the countless threads wanking off Martinez quite tiresome.

If we win a few games he will deserve praise, but I aint praising somebody for drawing 4 winnable games.

This discussion is becoming ridiculous. It's all about (1) style of play and (2) data (stats).

All data tell a story, but some take longer to read than others (sample size = 3 is too small to create a conclusion). Or, you can manipulate the data to fit the story you want to tell. The same data tell different stories based on what else is evident in the game. Counter-attacking teams will obviously have different numbers than Possession teams. I understand you can win with either style, provided your players and culture agree. I understand that Mourinho and Pep have been successful with these opposing styles; neither absolutely refutes the other. Other teams take a different (direct) style of play and generate different data.

You can disagree if you want and give in to ad hominem arguments, but if so then you're a cotton-headed ninny-muggins.
