Whose fault - Howard, Osman -- or Martinez?

He didn't 'do exactly' what I said he failed to do at all though did he?

I've looked at that again...yes, 'statue-esque' is pushing it, but he doesn't exactly bust a gut to get back either does he? He gets stripped of the ball, reacts slighty and then jogs behind the Korean as he bears down on Howard...there's no eyeballs out effort there I'm afraid. If that's your idea of covering fair enough. It isn't mine.

Statue-esque is pushing it? I don't mean to be argumentative, but statue-esque is completely wrong. Shame too as usually your views are on the money.

Howard should not have played the pass in the first place whilst Osman was blind to the play. Maybe Osman called for the ball and if he did, he was wrong as well. If he didn't call for the ball then the blame rests on Howards shoulders. If he did call for the ball then both of them are at fault.

It was a silly but costly mistake and it'll hurt both players. Lets just move on!

Osman moved at speed to just outside the 18 yard box from further up the pitch to receive the ball from Howard in order to take it out for him. If I was in Howard's position - rolling that ball out to teammates presenting themselves for it all day of late - I think I'd be forgiven for believing Osman knew wtf he himself had in mind racing to receive it from me in the first place. He had something in mind, but didn't have the composure to do it once he was under pressure.

It's daft blaming Howard.

HE COULD HAVE PLAYED FOR DAT BARCALONA BUT SLUMMED IT AT DER BLUES LAD

HE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RETIRE AT DER BLOOZ KIDDER. CAN SEE HIM PLAYING TILL HE'S 47. GOT THE FIRST THREE YARDS IN HIS HEAD

The Howard-Osman balls up was a moment of madness. I recall City having one against Chelsea (in the last minute!!). Now look where City are. Move on people, we are not even halfway through the season.

I'm with you mate. All complacency/arrogance/optimism has been expunged from this fan. We start again on Sunday. Personally, I am anything but confident of a win

...and that is a good thing by the way. In my professional capacity, I am required to do a lot of public speaking. A little bit of nerves before an address usually ensures a successful outcome.

Disagree completely. ..totally Martinez fault...useless selection from the off...absolutely horrendous day for us as United come back to win, Chelsea are poor but still win, Newcastle demolish Stoke and Arsenal also come back from a goal down to win...we are now 5 points back ith Barry and Howard suspended. ..momentum gone, confidence gone...season will go downhill from here and Osman will start in place of Barry on Saturday. ..fcuking disgrace...

you are new to this forum. Pick your game up pal

He did EXACTLY that which you say he didn't. Just re watched it too on everton tv to be sure, and the lad immediately begins to try and catch the Sunderland lad, and only stops after he has been taken down by Howard.

I do hope people check these details themselves rather than relying upon uninformed jarg like this. Slate Osman all you want for his awful control and mistake, but to then lie about his efforts to try and redeem himself is truly shocking.

You're better than that Davek. Poor stuff.

Spot on. I watched it back as well, and Osman tries to get back. It would have taken Usain Bolt to get back at Ki there.
