Whose fault - Howard, Osman -- or Martinez?

Both Barkley and Barry were on 4 yellow cards before this match. If both picked up a yellow then both will be suspend for the Soton game. This would be a disaster. So it shouldn't take half a brain to think that one of them would be "rest" for this game. The result didn't turn out well for us, but that didn't mean it was a management error, rather it was a player's technical error.

i didn't say it was a management error, i said it was worth looking at though, in future would naismith be a better choice off the striker. Could we move oviedo to lm, bring baines in and play pienaar in the center. We lost the game, I would hope the reasons for that were at least being explored, even if the conclusion turns out to be that we were unlucky, rather than have the 'better fans' brigade dismiss any criticism as being out of order

Win as a team loose as a team - Bollocks

Osman fault - a professional footballer cabt control a simple pass, no different to the 50 x Howard has already done it thus season

This is Barkley's 1st full season and I've seen too many young kids get burned out (and with that comes injuries). Their bodies just aren't trained yet to handle the workload (ever notice how few 30+ year olds are in the prem?). Also Barkley plays the one position that is condusive to injuries. Given that we've had success against Sland I was hoping that we'd sit him before the match.

That was Osman's fault. A little on Howard (shouldn't have been a red but I have to say it looked like a red in real time). Martinez did the right thing.

Osmans obviously. Terrible pass by Howard but a professional footballer who bases most of his came on 'close control' and 'technique' should be able to control and pass a ball. Awful.

Anyone blaming Martinez or the way we play needs shooting.

These things happen when team is trying to play from back. He slipped with opposition player pressuring him. Advantages of playing from back will make rare mistakes like this worthwhile.

If we sacrifice a goal or two this season by trying to play the game as it should be instead of drivin' it 40 yards like we did for the past 20 years...that's fine with me. Keep her lit Bobby!
