What is truly wrong with the club?

Whats the problem at the club?

  • Mind set

  • The squad

  • Certain bad eggs in the squad

  • Management choices

  • The board

  • Cheese on toast in the canteen

Is there any talk of “clicks” like there was in eto, distin days etc

No clue like but things like that wouldnt help!

From my naked eye team seem to actually get on fairly well

Big wholesale changes all happening at once has lead to uncertainty and a loss of confidence.
We're over thinking at times and causing ourselves problems that don't normally exist.

The way out is Sam going back to the Defence first football from when he started and building confidence again. When struggling, simplify.

We’ve massively fallen behind our traditional rivals - we should be up there with Spurs at least.

Spurs are installing a cheese room in their new stadium - a cheese room! That’s where our priorities should be - I can’t even get a decent Gin & Tonic at Goodison!

If our new stadium doesn’t have a conservatory at the very least, then I really do have concerns for the club.

None of these priorities even seem to be on the club’s radar. Moshiri has got a lot to do to prove himself to me.
To be honest mate I'm old school, cheese and football don't go, cheese and business do and there we have the problem. Passionate real supporters not needed in the modern game only corporate types with bulging pockets.

On the plus side, if we had a cheese room, it would give us something to pelt the players with.

Such as ?

Holgate and Kenny madly gesturing to get Schneiderlin to move into space last weekend against West Brom sealed it for me. He stood there like a stubborn donkey. He doesn’t care.

So while i think selection and tactics has a lot to do with our issues, I think there is some division amongst our team. They aren’t playing as a unit.

It seems there are definitely cliques here. And i think - looking back - that Unsy attempted to break them apart. But Sam has his favorites and it seems Problem Child #1 Schneiderlin is one of his pets. I think until we get a real solid manager in here with a real plan, we’re in for some dysfunctional football on the pitch. Who knows? Maybe Sam will figure it out and play those players who actually communicate and react to each other.

Going back and watching the Sunderland game from earlier this season, you had Klaassen and Sandro and Davies and DCL all finding a flow, moving the ball and finding space, providing outlets for each other. The off-ball movement was great. Lennon too in that. That’s football 101 and we have too many players who don’t care to utilize the space they are given. Or to create the space.

The biggest problem at the club is that we don't have people in control who believe that Everton Football Club should and needs to reclaim its rightful and historical place as the top club in the city of Liverpool.

Put a strategy in place to achieve that and the rest will take care of itself.

Off the pitch they’re working towards that with the stadium. It’s on the pitch that we’ve got the biggest issues.

All jokes aside it's an interesting poll innit
My gut says it's a little bit of all, but I can't specifically say one or the other is a definitive reason why we're doing so poorly at the moment.

I do think we have a small mentality, not that i want to say Rafael was right but just look at some of our targets, players and managers, there small all the time, Big Sam, Silva, players no one has heard off, we need to go for names, big names, take ourselves serious, until we do that no one else.

We are in a transition phase both on and off the pitch. The players and the fans are all to aware of it. Many things are up in the air at the moment and the clubs direction and identity is difficult to ascertain.

I'm confident that things will soon start falling into place and that we will come out the other side in a great place.

We just have to try and be patient.
