I suspect that has a lot to do with us being 9th and him being viewed as a necessary evil based on how things were looking earlier this season.

If we drop down a few places it will come.

i agree with this.

He was never given any status above caretaker and that, coupled with the very public pursuit of Silva led to great uncertainty and was never condusive to a sustained run of improved results and performances under Dave IMO.

The game at Southampton was probably our worst performance of the season, and that's saying something. We may have had worse scores against Spurs, Man United and Arsenal but everyone know they can be deadly on their day. Southampton are a poor team and we made them look like world beaters.

People are going way overboard about this game it was bad but we were level at half time, they scored with virtually every shot they had after the break.

There have been much worse performances than this games when we havent even had a shot for crying out loud.
