“Dear Mr Sladkov, are there any other important pieces of Russian infrastructure that the Himars of the so called Ukraine must absolutely not hit? Asking for a friend.”

Majority of the countries are in EU simply for the money. "European values" are just stuff copied from the America, real European values and truth is that every European country fought and slaughtered each other in constant never ending wars in entire history of this continent and only reason why we don't doing it now is because America is more powerful than entire Europe put together and they casting ever present shadow over this continent. You already have 2 country that has an illiberal govt (Hungary) and another Poland, which isn't too far behind.
One reason why the EU was formed was to prevent every European country from fighting and slaughtering each other in wars. It's been very successful in that respect.Majority of the countries are in EU simply for the money. Ancient grudges and hate are still present in European states, my neighboring country (Serbia) still crying about battle they lost 700 years ago against Turks. In Hungary national tragedy is still collapse of Habsburg Empire and loss of territory in 1918. In my own country (Croatia) we got so many stereotypes against certain other European countries and absolute dislike, that if something bad happened there, people would openly cheer.
You voted Brexit because you didn't like foreigners stealing their jobs or some other nationalistic crap, i worked in Austria for a time and they pretty much share same opinion about foreigners.
Mostly by France and Germany at the start in a sort to link them economically and prevent future wars, it was supposed to be mostly economic union, but since late 80s (i believe) it started to be much more political and other stuff. One reason why the EU was formed was to prevent every European country from fighting and slaughtering each other in wars. I suppose this should really be in the EU thread.
They gonna use gas as a weapons. Inflation, high prices, bills, even food already sky rocketing around Europe, people are pretty unhappy here and its constant theme in news (yes, even over war). If this continue and if gas get stopped, stuff just gonna get worse, it gonna lead to massive political instability, protests, fall of governments, rise of right parties (even more).Ukrainians are trying to crowd fund a visit from Boris Johnson. Couldn't make that up. Better off buying some much needed supplies.
Talk of a million strong Ukraine army and taking back Kherson. Looking (googled it) at how many are already in the armed forces, that number is not so fanciful at all.
My other big note is that the gas was switched off for around 10 days for annual maintenance. Coincidence with Germany pulling rank over the Euro 9Billion aid package? What is the betting that it might take slightly longer to do maintainence this year?
Other than that, business is as usual, bloody and brutal and a complete waste of time, money and most importantly life.
American, so I didn't have a chance to vote against Brexit. Tho admittedly the part about voting to prevent foreigners stealing their jobs and some other nationalistic crap, the Brits are Bush league compared to us.You voted Brexit because you didn't like foreigners stealing their jobs or some other nationalistic crap, i worked in Austria for a time and they pretty much share same opinion about foreigners.
Don't kid yourself, America is much more open and acceptable by nature simply because of its history. Young nation that served for people from all over Europe to escape to better life (as perceived back then). Literally almost every family here on our (Croatian) Adriatic coast and our islands got some relative in America, all descendants of people who left for America to escape poverty in late 19th/early 20th century.American, so I didn't have a chance to vote against Brexit. Tho admittedly the part about voting to prevent foreigners stealing their jobs and some other nationalistic crap, the Brits are Bush league compared to us.
Anyway we have a bit of tyranny of the minority here in the states, its not going too well. We keep coddling them thinking oh they'll be happy now and in just a little over a decade the biggest threat to American national security is America and they are on the verge solidifying their gains w/ a majority. When even a small minority can continue to throw a wrench in the process and get away w/ it, they'll keep taking and they'll keep pushing buttons until the voters in countries realize that hey maybe we should do the same because hey no one likes a do nothing loser.
I guess the moral of the story is don't be like us Europe.
Utter bells.Ukrainians are trying to crowd fund a visit from Boris Johnson.
Utter bells.
Can we stop giving them money now please?
Hell, I donate to that.Well, they might keep him. Not bad really.
I love this fellow.
Kremlin wants people to call Putin 'Our Ruler' instead of president
The Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) has proposed the use of Pravitel, a Russian title, as it is more ‘befitting of Putin’s status and role’.
The right-wing party has just 22 seats in Russia’s 450-seat parliament but has close ties to the Kremlin and is often used by the government to float and gauge public support for its more radical ideas.
Russian media quoted the LDPR as saying: ‘The term ‘president’… was first used at the end of the 18th century in the United States, and much later spread throughout the world. In our country, by historical standards, this is generally a new word,’ the Telegraph reports.
The anti-West sentiment follows the national mood in Russia, which is being pushed by the Kremlin to counter sanctions placed on it since its invasion of Ukraine. Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the leader of LDPR, died in April.
He was an arch nationalist and close to Putin, who went to his funeral in Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
The title of ‘pravitel’ or ‘ruler’ has deep a deep history in Russia.
The Romanov family ruled the nation as Tsars, with near-total power from 1613 to 1917.
Tsar can carry a similar meaning to Pravitel, but it is more commonly known as ’emperor’.
In contrast, ‘president’, with its connotations of democracy, only came into use in Russia towards the end of the Soviet Union, when Mikhail Gorbachev was briefly referred to as president of the USSR.
Previously, Soviet leaders had been the Communist Party chairman or general secretary.
Putin’s critics have said that he already has total power in Russia and rules like an autocratic tsar.
