A great pun, but got to be a huge concern for Ukraine.

Whilst this is a blow for Ukraine, how big of a deal is it for Germany?

At what point do those supplying Ukraine start leaving themselves exposed?

To be fair, opposition politicians should be stirring the pot against the party in power. If they send them, you can say they're exposing Germany's capability. If they don't send them, they're heartless appeasers.

Seeing as they were never sending them or even suggested sending them, it's a non-story.

Germany is not exposed because even if they gave everything away, the USA, U.K. and the rest of NATO will defend them as they have done for the last 60 odd years…..

You are right in suggesting it’s just opportunism by the opposition, but unfortunately the behaviour to date by the government sets them up for this…..

Ukraine are being far too respectful of Russia. The bridge to the Crimea should be blown up and whatever ships lay at anchor in Crimea, together with the docks should be targeted……

Looks like Germany are putting their own interests and their people's interests first to me. I wish we had a government like that.

I mean it nicely mate, and theres little doubt Putin is using it for his own ends (and is in no position to talk about Nazism) however Ukraine has a big problem with Nazism. Those of us in the anti-fascist movement have noted this for some time. We interned Nazi's in WW2, they are arming theirs. It will end very very badly.

Indeed, same as lotsa European countries. There are Nazis in Ukraine for sure.

Is there a reliable resource for this that is free from whiff of Russian interference and could be comfortably cited?

There's a lot of ultra-national politics over there in both Ukraine and Russia which is mining the same vein of evil as Nazism without it necessarily being Nazism as far as I can make out.
