Can anyone see Russia’s point of view? Last thing they’d want is for a neighbouring country to become part of NATO?
Are you referring to Russia as a whole or Putin and his authoritarian regime? To an extent, I can understand why Russia may be concerned about NATO.
However, NATO is not an offensive collective or even a close-knit bloc politically; Ukraine didn't want to be part of NATO until Russia started a proxy war.
Talking about genocide and anti-Nazification is nothing to do with the threat of NATO. Putin and Co's comments are a guise for their real intentions.
Even if they weren't, does it justify starting a war on a sovereign state because of their democratic decision to want to join an alliance for self-defence?
NATO would never want to invade Russia - never. There isn't the political or social will to do so; rather, it's about stopping a dictator and his geo-political ambitions.
Some people on here may appreciate the view of Russia for reasons that are becoming more and more obvious.
