One reason Putin chose to go in now and it's all on Taliban Joe (age 99 and 3/4); What a feeble useless weakling of a president, an absolute disaster backed by an ultra kind media because they wanted rid of Trump.

PUTIN can smell weakness and after Taliban Joe unilaterally decided to lose against Afghanistan's madmen murderers be saw his opportunity.

Taliban Joe is probably the worst president since Jimmy Carter in the 1970's, this is all on Biden and his ultra weak position on defence and the military,

Trump said he admired Putins strength but said he'd never have tried this under his administration because he knew he couldn't get away with it. He can now with the old and infirm Taliban Joe in charge and he has taken that free pass.

Is this serious?

Surely not. It must be clever satire... Must be! ?

As I understand, the Serbs still believe they did nothing wrong in Kosovo or Bosnia. I get into arguments with them all the time on Reddit when they start using the 'both sides' argument.

If you had asked a dyed-in-the-wool Nazi after '45 to name what they'd done wrong, how many would have went against their actions in the Holocaust?

You could say the same about many others who've committed atrocities because when you reach the point of seeing people as expendable or less than human...

... you're probably going to find it much easier to live with your actions.

TBF most of that mob (certainly the ones who didn't kill themselves) were in it for the money, the advancement or the enjoyment of it.

Himmler might well have been in a tiny minority amongst the Nazi hierarchy (and certainly in the SS leadership) in that he actually and genuinely believed what he was doing was necessary. It is one of the sickest ironies in human history that when Himmler found out what his execution camp leaders had been doing (when they weren't murdering hundreds of thousands of people at his behest), he was so appalled that he ordered them to be investigated and in several cases executed (including for murder, of individuals).

Himmler was sick as well when visiting Auschwitz while he watched an execution and had some poor soul's brains splattered on him.

While not pleasant of course, it was typical for those who were doing the dirty work. Admittedly, I'm a firm believer in the moderate functionalism view on it all.

Still, it's much easier to make decrees and facilitate such mass horrors when you don't have to live with it each and every day, and by that I mean do the killing.
