If memory serves, didn't the West / NATO / some similar group convince Ukraine to abandon any nuclear ambitions by pledging to guarantee their borders and sovereignty? Can someone please confirm if I am remembering this correctly, or if I'm thinking of a different country entirely.

Indeed, it was U.K., USA and Russia, and it was not about nuclear ambitions as they already had the nuclear bombs, it was about giving them up. Lesson to the world, don’t give up your nuclear bombs unless you wish to be invaded…..

PUTIN can smell weakness and after Taliban Joe unilaterally decided to lose against Afghanistan's madmen murderers be saw his opportunity.

Taliban Joe is probably the worst president since Jimmy Carter in the 1970's, this is all on Biden and his ultra weak position on defence and the military,

Trump said he admired Putins strength but said he'd never have tried this under his administration because he knew he couldn't get away with it. He can now with the old and infirm Taliban Joe in charge and he has taken that free pass.

I think you must be referring to Taliban Trump, the man who arranged and signed the withdrawal deal with the Taliban.
